From those of you who have known me since way back when, you are probably pleased, ecstatic, and surprised to see Dunibus back from hiatus for a guest appearance in today's strip. No...this doesn't mean he'll be "joining the cast." It's a guest appearance....don't expect to see him ever again.
Since my little schpil on television from my childhood yesterday, I have been thinking back and discussing different shows. Remember "Punky Brewster?" If so, then you'll understand the strip. You see, there was actually TWO Punky Brewsters....there was the sitcom and then there was the Saturday Morning Cartoon...which was just like the tv show except they incorperated this little imaginery monkey looking little thing into it to make it more appealing to kids. That show rocked! I can't believe that something like that wasn't incorperated into an ongoing syndication like most shows do...it had a lot of heart in it. If you don't know what I am talking about, then click here and find out.
anyway, that's all I have really...just wanted to explain "Punky Brewster" to you in the younger generation who were lucky enough to miss early 80's television programming.

By the way, when this strip was first published we got a note from Soleil Moon Frye, the original Punky Brewster. Apparently she was pleased...
