A riverside stall consists of a metal frame with a waterproof
roof, each housing two units. These will be erected in-situ on market days. Each unit has
a board, dimensions are 7ft by 3ft (approx.) and sits on the stall frame at table top
height, and is used as your display area. Each unit has a detachable waterproof side
cover(s).The
stall holder will be responsible placing the board(s) on the frame.
The stall holder will be
responsible for fixing the side cover(s).
(crafters will usually
give each other a hand to set up the units, all you have to do is ask).
The board(s) must be
covered with a cloth that reaches down to the ground, and any boxes or crates must be
stored under the board, behind the cloth, (in other words, out of view).
No bought goods are
allowed, genuine handmade things only please. These can be made by yourself or a family
member.
Your stall must be set
up and ready for the market opening at 11am.
The heritage centre is
an open thoroughfare, therefore no obstructions are allowed when setting up.
All vehicles must be off
site by 10.45am. Free all-day parking is available by kind permission of Tesco, in the
supermarket car park.
Once on site a stall
holder must not pack away until the market ends (4pm). Vehicles must not return to the
market area until after this time.
No sexist, racist or
political propaganda materials are allowed. Anyone seen selling such items will be invited
to leave.
The craft market is held
in a heritage area and we are there as guests of the Lee Valley Park, The Mill House Trust
and Three Mills Island Studios. As such we are asked to respect the area by discouraging
its misuse and our committee ask you to ensure that no rubbish is left on site, and
that no fires or gas burners are used on site.
