Three Shots Gone Lyrics

Hollywood Sellouts
(it seems like anyone could be famous nowadays, we need to become more socially aware of our surroundings)

It seems like everybody, wants to be the big boss man,
They’re living their lives the best they can,
But they can’t stand- the pressure.
It seems live everybody says they live for Jesus Christ,
But they live their whole damn lives,
Not thinking twice, about their sinful ways…
And I hear these lame cover bands on the radio,
And they don’t know,
That that song from long ago-
Wasn’t meant for this generation- of slackers and hackers, Y2K crashers…
There’s something that we don’t know,
About that music long ago,
Before Hollywood they sold their souls,
Now they’re running on empty…

I say

“Pick me, pick me…”
Just to be the next big thing…
Flashing on your TV screen,
Like I’ve been there forever…
They’ll put me on their TV shows,
Dress me in some preppy clothes.
And make me sing a sad love song about a boy I didn’t even know …

See all these people living their lives in vain,
They don’t see those suffering,
They don’t care about the pain-
in the ass, man,
I walk into class man,
With my discman,
looking at this man,
who says he’s got some lessons to teach me  and sticks a book in my face while he flirts with the pretty girls
Putting his rules on a rebel just like me…
I’m only 16-
With the world in my pocket…
and I know that I got it-
Take me to Hollywood, so I can sell my soul tonight

“Pick me, pick me…”
Just to be the next big thing…
Flashing on your TV screen,
Like I’ve been there forever…
They’ll put me on their TV shows,
Dress me in some preppy clothes.
And make me sing a sad love song about a boy I didn’t even know …

Hollywood turned Rock and Roll,
It’s all the same; it’s all so-so,
where the singers act, and the actors sing…
And anyone with money, could do anything-
That they damn well please
Well, so can we…
Just not as easily…
So I’ll pack my things,
And head to Hollywood…

“Pick me, pick me…”
Just to be the next big thing…
Flashing on your TV screen,
Like I’ve been there forever…
They’ll put me on their TV shows,
Dress me in some preppy clothes.
And make me sing a sad love song about a boy I didn’t even know …
