december highlights...Sean is back, more TI coaching, running high, AZ stories.

Friday, December 20. Running high.
Another run at my Mom's place in AZ. Turns that a cabling project from Tucson to Sierra Vista left a great running trail just off the highway so I've been having a great time running on the dirt and gravel trail. Even took my shirt off today in the warm AZ sun. Now the elevation (just above 5,000') isn't all that great for this sea level boy, but I'm getting used to it. The most important thing is being consistent with my run, getting out there every day. Unfortunately, no pool around so swimming will have to wait until I get back home.

Other highlights of the day include picking up an alpaca my Mom had bred at a farm about an hour away. And, Fritzy, the 15 year old dauchshund at my Mom's place had to be put down. It was actually Bill's (Stepdad) job to do this, but I was happy to ride along to help keep Bill comfortable. Fritzy was quite a character around the ranch so we're all sorry to see him go. It was pretty obvious to us all that it was time though.

Thursday, December 19. Well look who's back.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. Threeseat is back and hopefully going strong. A lot has happened since my last entry in October, unfortunately not a lot of training though. That changed about three weeks ago, however, when I got laid off from Nordstrom. Kind of a catch 22 though...lots of time to train but no money. But I have been running and swimming everyday for the last two weeks and am running while down in at my Mom's ranch in Arizona.

I did just coach another Total Immersion workshop last weekend. A great group of people and I think it may just push me over the edge as far as wanting to become a full-fledged coach for triathlon and pentathlon, maybe even more (like getting back into crew coaching). A lot of it will depend on how the job search goes and where I end up. Stay tuned...
