Leadership
Are you a leader?
Look behind you and see if anyone is following.
He who thinks he is leading
and no one is following
is only taking a walk.

Working
I asked the Lord, "What shall I do?"
And my love flowed warm and free.
Then He pointed me out a tiny spot
And said, "Tend that for me."
I quickly replied, "Oh no, not that.
Why no one would ever see.
No matter how well my work was done;
Not that little place for me."
The word He spoke, It was not stern,
He answered me tenderly;
"Ah, little one, search that heart of
thine.
Are you working for them or me?
Nazareth was a little place, and so was Galilee."

Broken Dreams
As children bring their broken toys
with tears for us to mend
I brought my broken dreams to God
because He is my friend.
But then, instead of leaving Him
in peace to work alone
I hung around and tried to help
with ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How can you be so slow?"
"My child," He said, "What could I do...
you never did let go."
