Innocence 
 

What was it like to live all over again,
At that very moment, on that instance:
Regaining the thoughts, the emotions,
The initial glance simultaneously seen.
All revolving within memory’s replay:
The awkwardness of fluttering speech,
Only half as hard as the beating hearts.

What was it like to feel the soul depart
From your body, a yearning beseeched;
And those curious eyes eager for a gaze
At the first moments in love so pristine.
To relive again in a cherished devotion 
The first time over, for such the chance
falling in love first, then forever hence.
