Too Shy To Love 

Mumbling fool, babbling mind gone
Topsy turvy, with all the commotion
Spilling forth to my soul, a heart on
Overdrive!  So with all my emotions
Compressed air-tight, I’m speechless:
My mouth shut, unmoved, lips tight-
ly sealed, secretly trying to confess
My heart’s desires allowed.  Despite
This farce of my looking totally calm;
I yearn secretly for a chance to speak
With eloquence, a Casanova’s charm,
Confident phrasing of words so sweet;
Expression of a soul, how I really feel
about seeing you as I stand over here.
Oh talented is the soul who speaks ‘til
the heart begins to flutter, with sheer
Poetic nuances, articulated with style.
Within the art of persuading the heart,
Chosen pickup lines, paid for, while 
his mellow, echoed voice soon depart.
Ah! To at last yell through my mouth:
Everything my soul had once whisper,
Unheard before, now to all come out,
Into truth’s open arms - terrific huh?
To spill forth my hidden little secrets,
Out! All out! Tell me one reason why
I cannot tell you how I feel, and be it
That I love you, but I am just too shy.
