Love will never come my way again
But still you say "Let's still be friends"
I'll see you with him
and have to turn away 
Because your changed my world 
from blue to gray

What I thought we had 
was a thing called love
the greatest of gifts 
from the Lord God above

But in this love
I couldn't keep hold
My hopes were too lofty
my actions too bold

So now you want this romance to end
And if we must, so be it as friends...
