I killed this buck in Hancock County.  I scouted this area out a couple of months before bow season.  I walked to check out this nice acorn flat about a month before bow season and jumped a nice buck, so I didn't go back in there until the wind was perfect, which was about the last week of October.  It was hard not to hunt the area for the first 3 weeks of bow season, knowing that there was a nice buck in there, but I knew if I was going to get a shot at him I had to wait.  The first time I hunted the area I seen a couple of Does.  The wind started off good, but then started twirling.  I killed the buck on the second hunt.  I walked in the woods about 12:00 p.m and climbed the tree with an Ole Man Vision, turned around and a Doe was walking by.  After that I thought that it might be a good hunt.  I saw a couple more Does about 2:15p.m., and didn't see another deer until about 5:15p.m.  I had about 6 Does eating acorns around me then a real nice eight point walked out.  I just knew this was the buck that I saw.  The buck appeared out of no where and before I knew it he was right under me.  I thought that I would wait for a better shot, because the Does were feeding out in front of my Ole Man Vision.  The buck started circling around me too a scrape that was about 10 yards behind me.  I finally calmed down a little after watching him for about 15 minutes, then I spotted something coming up from the bottom of the branch.  It was him, the 10 point.  He walked straight towards me.  He came about 7 yards from my stand then started in front of me.  I was just about to draw my bow back, when he looked straight up at me.  He looked for a second or two then put his head back down, but he didn't keep going forward.  He turned around and started walking back towards the eight point, that's when I pulled my bow back to full draw and released the arrow for about an eight yard shot.  The buck ran about 40 yards before he went down for the count.  It really paid off to wait until the wind was right. Thanks!
