Biography
Zan is a sorrel, weighing approximately 1000 pounds and is 15.1 hands. He was bred, born and raised at Thunder Ridge, Inc. in Winchester, VA. His pedigree contains a mixture of performance and foundation lines.
Zan has been shown locally in halter classes since he was a yearling. These classes have resulted in numerous Grand Champion and Reserve Champion winnings. Broken as a three year old, he continues his under-saddle training, which is geared for the Reining Performance Horse division.
Zan has been standing at stud since 2004 and can be seen at Thunder Ridge, Inc. in Winchester, VA. Reproduction services will be managed by Ellen Stephens, D.V.M. of Laurel Inc. Equine Reproduction in Marshall, VA. Shipped cool semen will be available, or local mares may be taken to the facility for breeding.

Zan's dam is Promise of the Son. Her sire line contains Thoroughbred influence, while the dam line contains foundation Quarter horse breeding. This includes King p-234 breeding in the 5th generation twice and Wimpy p-1 in the 6th generation, the first Quarter Horse Stallion registered in the AQHA stud books. The mare resides at Thunder Ridge, Inc.
