Welcome!

Welcome to my web page. I have been in the bloodhound breed for 15 years and every day is a learning experience. My family feels I'm crazy for owning this breed but when I met my first bloodhound I was hooked. I have learned a lot from her, like how important finding a good breeder is.

I bought "Echo" on a whim. She was this cute little wrinkled pup I couldn't resist. At 6 months old she was so displastic that she was on high doses of pain medication. When she was a year old she hemorrhaged and I almost lost her. Her insides were a mess. I regret that I didn't do my homework before I bought her. If a breeder will not give a written guarantee on their puppy then I will walk away.

I do ask a lot of questions before I place a pup in a home. This is to be sure that the bloodhound is the right breed for you. I want all my pups to be sold to lifetime homes. If you like a clean orderly house then maybe you need a smaller breed. The bloodhound does drool and can fling it across a room with one shake of its head. A happy tail can clear a shelf of your costly glass wear. I have adapted my life to accommodate my dogs. I have towels everywhere to catch the slobber before my walls get it, and I have learned never to hold out my hand and demand the dog to drop what ever treasure they have hidden in them big lips. Most of the time I can't identify it so now I ask them to drop it on the floor.
