Cooking for Non - Cooks

For those who cook once/twice a year
When you want to prepare Sri Lankan meal for the first time and quickly. Exact procedure is mentioned from a to z
If you are used to Asian food(from my motherland), you might have eliminated Western or American food thinking they are tasteless.
Sri Lankan Recipes for Others
- To simplify steps for non-cooks certain steps are merged together.
- Prepared food is generally not much spicy or hot. Average American can taste.

Assumptions
- You are expected have microwave oven, stove top(range 1-10), pans, measuring cup set
- coconut milk cans from Goya (brand) - this is condensed form of normal coconut milk. If using regular coconuts to get coconut milk, all recipes should be multiplied by 2 wherever coconut milk about is mentioned
- salt and pepper (black) in ground form
- Unless otherwise mentioned all amounts for two portions.
- stove top : medium heat is meant as number 7 (if the range is 1-10)
- medium size potato - 5x4x2 inch
