as antiflatulent and diuretic,
breast-feeding stimulant gargle and mouth astringent
maggot-infested nasal disease

Administration and Dose
Typical dose of basil leaf for distention or flatulence
is 1 cup of the fresh brewed tea
2-3 times daily between meals.

Tea is prepared by steeping 2-4 grams
in 150 mL boiling water
for 10-15 minutes and strain.

Taken as a hot tea in suppressed menstruation.

Allays excessive vomiting.

Effective when applied to snake bites and insect stings.

Expels afterbirth.
