Soothing Eyewash Anise oil helps relieve cramping and spasms, good stomach tonic. Anise is used for an upset stomach, but its effectiveness remains unproven. Insomnia; take a few seeds in a glass of milk before going to bed. Tea made from equal parts each anise, caraway and fennel. Excellent intestinal purifier. Its sweetness, anise is a good additive to improve flavor of other medicines. How To Prepare; Crushed Anise can be made into a tea. Preparations of essential oil of Anise can be used for inhalation. To make anise tea to calm stomach or relieve gas crush 1 teaspoon of aniseed in 1 cup boiling water. Steep 10 to 20 minutes. Drink up to 3 cups a day. For additional stomach relief, add dried or fresh peppermint leaf. Anise tea for an infant; dilute 1/2 cup of tea with 1/2 cup of water. Cool suffiently.
