Ways of the Kitchen Witch



The kitchen witch uses what is at hand to work her magic.
The plain old knife that peeled the potatoes, is used to cast the circle
around her kitchen table for her to work her kitchen magic in.
Some candles on saucers, and a jar filled with salt are at her side and always
ready to do her bidding, wooden spoon in hand to stir
the spell and directed the power to were it is to go.
A mortar and pestle grinds the herb to powder,and adds to the energy
that is brewing in the pot, be it a soup to feed
her love ones or a potionto bring healing to a sick friend,
She is always found in her kitchen with her herbs.

A double boiler is another one of tools that sits on her stove ready for uses
along with shelves filled with healing potions ready for ailing folks,
as a kitchenwitch doesn't care about long correctly done rituals,
she hasn't the time to set up for that,
for life is much to busy to bother with that.
She draws her energy from the Universe and sends
it into her work that is at hand.

The kitchenwitch if not found in her kitchen is out and about
looking for herbs to put into a pot, to start a new spell for a folk in a spot.
You would never know that she was a witch,
if it were not for the fact that she talks to plants and sings her chants.
So the next time you see the lady in her garden and talking away to her plants,
you just may see the kitchenwitch gathering her herbs to brew
a spell or just gathering greens for her dinner that night.
