So Walker and I were lying around my room today not really doing anything in particular. The bandages I wrapped on his leg when he got hurt the other day were looking pretty good. I was thinking that maybe I actually somehow managed to fix his cut and how maybe I might have to learn how to really do it when there was a knock at the door. We had both had our fill of Diakaryu by now, and sometimes he’s actually greets you nicely at the door like he’s some visitor you’d invite in, so it’s safe to say we were a little concerned. Thank goodness it was Kale. And thank goodness I didn’t just shove my sword through the door like I had been planning. I’m sure he preferred the hug I gave him instead, though he seemed hesitant to hug me back. Maybe he just doesn’t like hugs. I’ll have to remember that. I’d hate to offend.
We congratulated Kale on his new position as the Celestial Guild Master and he healed Walker up so he wouldn’t have to wear those bandages around in public. He did say I did a great job on them though and that they probably helped a lot. Made me smile.
Then out of nowhere I saw something on my wall. I screamed, “Oh my gosh! What is that?” And they looked, Walker with sword in hand by the way. He learns quick. I thought maybe what I saw had moved to the back of Kale’s head, so I grabbed a pillow and whacked it hard. Walker dived away, he clearly knew there was most likely danger lurking. Kale accused me of taking a cheap shot. Me? Why would he say such things? There is no such thing as a cheap shot in a pillow fight. In fact, to prove my point, Walker threw a precisely aimed pillow at Kale while he distracted himself with semantics and then ran in and tackled him. This is the point that Kale finally relented and had fun. It was good to see that.
The pillow fight ranged on for a bit, but I could see I was outnumbered. It was time to get my advantage back. So while Kale and Walker kept each other busy, I found one of my special pillows. It was pretty heavy, but I got up some momentum by swinging it around a few times. At this point, Kale was my target, but when Walker tried to take advantage of the situation by getting a few free hits on him, I changed my focus to him. Honestly, I don’t think he saw it coming. As soon as the pillow made contact with his face, there was a wet, squishy sound, kinda like *wasmack* and he fell to the ground unconscious. I know because I let Kale make sure he wasn’t dead. I don’t think he could die from getting hit with a pillow, but why take the chance. Besides, do you know how embarrassing that would be? I could have done with a little less questioning on Kale’s part though. Just because I’m 10 doesn’t mean I want to be treated like I am. I'm not a kid.
He looked a lot nervous to me by now, so I asked him if he wished to concede the fight. I’ll give him credit…he said no and threw a pillow at me. He THREW it at me. After I gave him a chance to give up. Mmmmmm. It even hit me. Ok so at that point, the game advanced a little more. If he anted to bring it, I would be happy to oblige. I think he started getting the hang of it though because he started actually trying to win. He was casting spells at me left and right. Thank goodness I’m nimble on my feet. He must have used his whole tree trying to take me down. That’s pretty good especially when you’re getting beat the whole time. Poor Walker just laid there unconscious.
And then it happened… I don’t know what I was thinking, but he threw a pillow at me and instinctively I jumped out of the way. I didn’t see the spell he was casting though and ended up jumping directly into it. I only realized it when I stood up and my arms were stuck to my sides. How can you use pillows when you’re arms are bound. I might have congratulated him had I not been angry about it. That’s ok though, when it wore of, he was asking for it. No more nice fox. Oh but NOOOOOOO. He gives m some excuse about going to talk with someone and just walks out…. WALKS OUT! Leavesme like that. I even tripped over Walker at one point. Thank goodness he was still unconscious. He’s probably going to onder where those new bruises came from though.
Be forewarned Kale. You did not win this fight. You only left the fight and thus gave up your right to win. I will get you back. It’s on...

Today as I was coming back from the Binterman District in Lochling, I saw Walker and Kale coming back from training at the same time. They didn’t see me though, so I decided to sneak up on them. Maybe I could get Kale back for what he did at our last pillow fight. Cheater…
They seemed to be talking a lot about their practice, Walker criticizing Kale about his techniques and Kale flourishing his staff around almost hitting Walker a few times in the process. Good, they wouldn’t see me. And I am sneaky. They turned and looked in my direction at one point, but I just stopped in place and they looked past me and kept going. That always works by the way.
They seemed to be heading back toward the tavern, but at one point they headed into a side alley. Dunno why? I haven’t gone blindly in many alleys…especially since Jean almost slit my throat a few months ago. I wouldn’t have thought him so vicious, but I guess looks can be deceiving. I guess I should just be thankful he didn’t see fur and just start stabbing. *stab…stab…stab…stab …stab* I could almost see him finding out it was me and then just laughing in triumph.
Anyway as I said, I stopped at the entrance to the alleyway and looked inside, hoping to find where they might be headed so I could cut ahead of them. When I looked inside though, I only saw Kale, not Walker, and he was just standing there like he was waiting for something to happen. Maybe Walker had gone inside to do some secretive business or something. Oh well, I was thinking I could just pounce on Kale as soon as he turned his back. At least that way I got him back if nothing else. And by the time Walker got back, Kale would already be subdued and unable to help him.
That’s what I was thinking before I got tackled from behind anyway…by Walker. Where the heck did he come from! Not good, not good at all! He should be glad I don’t take things like that seriously. I was planning my strategy in my head when I heard Kale lecturing Walker about what he should and shouldn’t do with nobles in public on the streets. I wasn’t really listening. Like I said, I was planning my next move.
Walker had already climbed off me when I grabbed his leg out from under him, sending him back to the ground on his back. I think it would have progressed into a nice little wrestling match, but Kale broke it up. I tried to explain how it was Walker’s fault. How he started it, but Kale took his side, I think. Of course.
We ended up going back to my room at the tavern because I think we were embarrassing Kale. Walker tried to start something again. But I decided to be the bigger person this time and just ignore his childish antics. They were talking about how their practice went that morning and eventually invited me to come and train with them. I was surprised. No one asks me to do anything like that really. Only Sir Bramus has asked me to train with him before. So of course I said yes. I don’t get to practice much anymore before going into battle and I admit I’m getting a bit rusty. After a while, the two of them started talking strategy and I thought that this was as good a time as any to get Kale back. They weren’t even watching me…hehehe…makes me laugh that they don’t, so I grabbed my sword and put it to Kale’s chest. At that moment, they may have hoped I was playing, and I was, but the looks in their eyes told me they weren’t really sure. In fact, Walker made sure to step back from the pointy end, just in case. I handed him a rope and told him to bind Kale’s arms…I had some practice to do with that bow and it was only fair to give him the same advantage he had given me, right? He did, of course, and with a smile too. He’s so good. Kale made a few attempts at casting free, but obviously with no free hand, it was impossible. Nice.
Walker gave me one of his bows to use, but just as I started stringing it, Kale burst the ropes binding him and started casting at me. So the game was afoot again. I love this part. It was malarkey and chaos with spells and gasses going off and pillows being thrown everywhere. I had planned to finish it with a tackle to Kale, but Walker had also apparently meant to end it with an arrow. He said that Kale always has a magic armor protective up, so he wasn’t worried. Well when I pounced, he shot, and the arrow hit me instead. OH MY GOSH that hurt! I know I landed with just a thud. Thank goodness for all those pillows, yes? The game just went up a notch I think. They both came running, Walker feeling horrible and Kale to help. Maybe he was just scared we’d bop him with a pillow or something, cuz he just grabbed the arrow and yanked. It was all I could do not to whimper. He healed me up, but the ache was still there. Then he ran back to his hiding spot. See…I thought we were just playing, but Kale was really upset. Not at almost becoming the target of my practice or the pillow fight either. He was mad because he had thought I left him out of my diary. Only I didn’t. At least I didn’t mean to. Now I felt bad. He left upset.
We stopped pillow fighting after that. The moment was gone. So I filled my apprentice in on some of the Death stuff he should know. Gotta crack down on that. I don’t want him running around clueless. That could get him killed and I don’t want Walker dead. I’m just starting to like him.

I found the little clearing that Walker and Kale use to train in. It was like a little oasis in the middle of the desert that is the Kingdom of Acklecium. Walker was against a tree. I thought about waking him up, but he seemed so peaceful laying there. Probably tired from all his work. So a good swift kick would get him up, yes? Well it would have, but Kale announced his presence right about then and our Prince Charming awoke.
I was there to train with them. Afterall, they invited me and I needed it. Walker offered to show me how to use the bow and so together, we all spent a mahority of the day working on that particular task. I don't think I'm any better, but with some practice who knows.

How can the unseen scars of a horror years gone still affect me so greatly? They were taken from me and now used against me! By HIM!
His offer was almost too great to pass up. Had it been another time, I might have taken it. Why I didn't now, I dunno. Maybe I no longer cared, but I would hate to think that is the case. Maybe it was fear? Possibly. Maybe just plain stubborness and the refusal to give in just to spite him? That too is likely.
I'd like to think it was more then any of that, but will I ever know? Will they ever forgive me for my choice? In the end, I'm not sure the answers to any of those questions even matter. This has gone to far to end simply.

He invades my dreams now. Even my most heinous nightmares are pale in comparison to him actually walking my subconscious. Maybe I can talk Bramus into becoming a creature of the Dream Plane so that at least I might get peace somewhere.
When he failed to get my attention as I slept, he came to me awake. Vengeance saw fit to give me strength and a he could not stop it, he threatened the less fortunate, of course. He said he had come for payment another owed him... I don't like my friends or the weak threatened. I only wonder if his face will recover from what I did to it.

Countess Kent explained to me about the situation with Gunther in Tyrangel. Apaprently he's been taken over by forces from the Hero's Graveyard and is being forced to work for them as the Dark General. He still has all of Gunther's memories and skills, just with a more evil and sinister personality.
Ok now the way she described how she interacted with Gunther was disturbing. It's almost as if she 'liked' him. Riiiight. I bet it sucks for her when she finds out he doesn't like her back. Oh well. Anyway, I told her I'd come in October to help get him back. Because I wouldn't leave him like that in a million years. Besides, who else can get him back if I can't.

After talking to Booger, I asked Walker if he wanted to be part of the Willis family. He said yes...and I think he wanted to cry. Tears of joy, of course. So anyway, now Walker is a Willis. I think that sounds real nice.
