So apparently Adaros was the center of a joke gone bad yesterday. It seems Rakash made a deal with Kayl, the Fae, and had some Genie come in and turn Adaros into a donkey scavenger. This, being an attack, Adaros defended himself, with Jaiden at his side oddly enough, who were then taken down by the rest of the town. If not for Emerald staying his hand, Viktor, the gypsy, would have killed Adaros. he tried like 4 times too! Wow, Bramus will have a field day with this...

I was sitting n my room, writing letters back home, when I got a sudden knock at the door. Out of habit, the one instilled in me by Diakryu, I asked who was there and learning it was Kayin, I naturally opened the door. He didn't look so well, and was hanging onto some skin of 'who knows what' that Diz had given him for dear life. I didn't take him for some kind of lush because he usually drank milk, like me, but it makes one wonder what he puts in that milk, yes? Anyway, I got him inside and he was all smiling and stuff up at me. Honestly, I thought he was about to hit on me or something. Walker might not have liked that, but drinking does that sort of thing to you. Turns out he just needed to talk to me about some stuff...and boy was it a doozy of a talk.

FINALLY! Somebody in this dragon forsaken Kingdom actually knows how to deal with nobility. I had been searching for Kayin everywhere because I had to get things loaded in the carraige for our trip to Karauth tomorrow. He was with an elf, by the name of Quaron. New fellow, but polite nonethless. Was refreshing to say the least. He actually knelt. KNELT! It's like he was raised in a proper place where they teach etiquette and stuff. Go figure. Hmmmm, makes me wonder how Trenton is doing with his book I gave him.

The trip to Karauth was long...and boring. You'd think that Bramus or Kayin would have kept me entertained, but nooooooooo. They were too busy trying to find some fun for themselves along the way that I just ended up being a pillow for them to lay on or something. Not happy about that. Anyway we get there and find where the town has stashed us for their gathering. Lincoln met up with us, so I had a playmate for a little while until Arainyn arrived and started ordering us about. I went looking for Trivanus, but couldn't find him. I did, however, find Sid stalking about and making motions like he was about to cast a ritual if I came near him. poo poo head.
It was kinda chaotic until night fell, and then the town came together when the fighting began. They always do. I have no clue what we fought that night though. Maybe some undead...I think it was. Some Barrowight thingies or something. You had to have a shield with an X on it and a glove in the center (which was most likely carried by Trivanus' spawn) to talk with them (which was ok in these lands I guess) and if you accepted their challange and won, then they left you alone for a time. Don't ask, I was just there...and ended up fighting them alot because we seemingly didn't win their challanges often. It's what I wanted to do with them anyway, so I was ok with that. Eventually the night grew calm again, and we went back to our cabin to sleep. Even with my fur it was chilly. Bramus tried to snuggle with me so I'd stay warm, but I shivered all night and Arainyn was really mean and wouldn't let us make a fire.
5-24-608 (Saturday)
Today we learned about some poison or curse that had been given to the gypsies of Karuath and was killing them off. I was kind of excited about that. Lincoln too. THEY wanted us to help them find a cure though. You have NO clue how hard it was for me to do that. No clue... Anyway, we spent the better part of the day doing quests in caves and stuff to get parts of the cure, and then took it all back to town where the King's alchemist (or he used to be anyway) showed them how to make the cure. Lincoln stayed close by so he could watch and learn. And he did. So at least, worst case scenario...of course, someone would know how to make it. Cuz I don't htink that guy was going to live much longer. He looked old and raggedy and was blind.
As we took our rest in between searching for the cure, we decided to have a razorball game. Much fun was had by all, especially Kayin, who was overzealous in his quest to get the ball in the goal at least once, and only stopped at the request of the Prince so that we could continue our quest. He liked watching us though.
Then there was a gypsy wedding. And I threw pistachios to Shoshoto (Shoshoto by the way is Shazam's Tia) during it. That's all I have to say about that.
We then had a Jenga competition at the feast a ittle later. Shazam is really good by the way, and Shoshoto too. I think Kayin likes her. I think he likes her alot. ::smiles:: And another gypsy wanted to get married. I swear...thats when I lost my appetite. Well that and when they brought the food out that was for the previous wedding. Arainyn and Shoshoto decided they would go kill a Pizza beast and bring it back for us to eat, and so we left.
What we didn't realize was just how long it would be until they came back with the beast... Arainyn was supposed to help Shazam go kill a dragon tonight. They had planned it for a while, and Shoshoto too. Eventually it was time for her to go and she needed help, so she came and grabbed Bramus and I to reokace her AWOL members, which sucked by the way cuz there were only 5 of us and we were going to kill a DRAGON?!?! I admit, I was scared. The onlything that made me feel any kind of safe was the fact that Trivanus came with us. So I was hoping that his dragon abilities would save us from the other dragon. A long shot...but a shot nonetheless.
So we get get rifted out to where this dragon is and there are a bunch of other townsfolk there, for which I was grateful. They were all talking to him though and then when he saw Trivanus, he got angry and started talking all kids of smak to him. I was surprised Trivanus actually remained calm, but he was distracting the beast, so Shazam called out an order and we attacked the dragon. Well the town did anyway. There were so many of them fighting, I just stood back and watched. And it died. I wasn't really privvy to the whole reasoning behind this, Arainyn was, so I was kind of at a loss as to why these events occurred. ::shrugs:: Oh well...
Arainyn and Shoshoto were getting back just as we were and they had had no luck in finding a pizza beast. Instead they had chopped up a wild cow (I guess) and brought it back to be cooked as patties. They were delicious by the way, and the hobling cooking them told us stories while he worked. Was a most excellent meal and time had by all.
We just did random stuff the rest of the night until I got sleepy and froze to death again. At least Arainyn let us have a fire this time. He grumbled about it, but he didn't stop us.
5-25-608 (Sunday)
Sunday morning was lazy as they usaully are at gatehrings. We laughed and joked around with Trivanus, Shoshoto, and Shazam a bit as we packed the carraige back up. I miss leaving them and I miss leaving Arainyn more. It's hard to go back to that desert where everyone is mean all the time. That's really all I could think of on the way home. At least I get to play with Bramus, Kayin, and Lincoln while I'm there. That's really the only comforting thought.

Alister has been writing all these riddles on the tavern wall. I have no idea why. Alister is wierd like that. I think he's trying to be mysterious. ::shrugs::
