September 607

The note I sent to Countess Kent has still gone unanswered, so I wrote a public message for her on the tree in Tyrangel. Who replies? Gunther, of course. Or The Dark General anyway. I can only imagine what he might be thinking now that he knows I plan to attend the gathering.
Hang on Gunther. I am coming for you. I will not let you down.

There is much going on right now and Alister, Lincoln's brother, has been reading the stars to try and determine some outcome...or path anyway. Ok so I'm not a big believer of the stars choosing my destiny, nor did I appreciate the fact that he was even talking about it since it's not fact. He was sitting in the tavern spouting it all out to the younger adventurers who probably took it all as the truth. That could get them killed, especially if they rely on it. Grrrr...it's all I could do to remain calm until I got him outside to talk to him in private. I hope he won't do that again. It's too dangerous.
When the night was over I went back to my room. Apparently Walker was asleep in ther and I didn't know it until he startled me half to death. He really shouldn't do that, but for once I was glad he did. I really needed him tonight... Bad news is never good to deal with alone.

So over the last month I think I've learned alot about my newest brother, Walker. First of all, he's really great, and alot like me. That isn't why he's great though. He just is. I'm really surprised no one had grabbed him before now. Clearly they've missed their chance now because I'm not giving him up.
He's kinda cute too. I probably shouldn't think like that about him, but he's adopted right? So I can think he's cute. Anyway, I can't wait for him to meet Booger and Jackson.

Where do I begin? I was able to get Arainyn's squire and cousin, T'jarro Lightfoot, to help me with the squiring ceremony I did for Walker. Afterall he is the House herald, so it seemed only proper. I just wish sometimes that kid would get off his horse. I hate horses and he knows it. I think he did it on purpose.
I admit, I was worried that Walker would turn down the squireship at first. Afterall, I asked alot of him, and I wasn't sure he was ready to come to grips with alot of it.
As if the oaths wern't strong enough, as T'jarro read them off, the ground around us began to wilt and die. Before I could even bestow the tabard on Walker, we were rifted to Death's chambers. The icon sat before us and knowing what we were doing told Walker that his oaths he swore to me not only bound him on Tyrra, but on his Plane as well. That was new... I again asked Walker if he wante dto continue because really that was bryond what I had expected of him and I felt it was only fair to give him one last chance to back out. He did not though and that only made me more sure of my choice. He will do well. I only hope I can make him proud to be mine.
After the ceremony, I met up with Bramus and Jean and we headed out to fight the hydra. Most of the town came as well, which was a welcome sight, but worrisome. I cannot protect them all, but I have to get this bracelet. It is too important to let slide. Jean tolld Dervite he couldn't go though, so that was going to make this even harder for us. I thought about slapping Jean, really...but I bet he'd charge me for it.
We found the creature on the shore of a neaby beach wandering about.. Thank goodness the last head they killed had not grown back. Not that the other 8 would be easy by any means, but that was one less. Anyway, we started fighting it, and honestly, I don' think we had a plan. Well, we did, but it didn't look like it after the first minute. Maybe because that stupid hydra somehow did the impossible and ate a circle of power. Go figure... We had a medusa in a circle with Adaros and so they should have been safe, right? Umm no, apparently even though one of the heads was turned to stone, the hydra somehow dispelled it and ate the circle...which meant the hydra and Adaros. Again. Normally I would be in disbelief and yell out some obsenity, but that wasn't the time, so I fought for Adaros and the bracelet. Jean was gobbled up with Adaros after the first half hour of the figt. Can I say Good Riddance? Probably not. So I fought for Jean as well. That fight was fugly though. It lasted HOURS and even I fell a few times. I tried to stay out of the fight after iw as told they had no more healing for me, but the creature would have none of it. It was almost as if one of the heads took great delight in spitting at me and so tried to do so every chance it got.
I saw Dervite wandering in the distance and pleaded with him to help us. At first he said no, citing Jean's comments earlier, but after I told him I would take whatever punishment Lord Witton would want to exact for ging against his command, he agreed. He and Reynaldo then went to the beach to help. They picked at the creature here and there, and though they were not what saved the day in this battle, they certainly did help. After most of the day had passed, the creature finally fell. I was anxious to get the bracelet, but also to find out if Jean and Adaros had survived. They had, though they were turned to stone. The town didn't leave them that way for long and soon we had them back.
After digging through the body, I found two bracelets. Not knowing which I needed, I grabbed both, told Jean I was doing so, and left to find my Master. Walker followed, which is just as well, and all ended on a good note. At least as far as I know. Let's hope that was what I needed, yes?
