Drag Festival, the biggest Drag Race in Europe. 25 participants from five countries in Super Gas. Wonder if any other Super Gas race in the world has participants from five countries ?
It's now definitive that the way we race a pair of slicks lasts two seasons. Ours are on their third season now, and we are not able to get consistent 60 ' times this year because of wheelspin. But we will have to live with them for the rest of the season.
Because of this we were very satisfied with qualifying 4th with a 9,914.
First qualifier was Norwegian Geir Vidar Strøm who had dusted off his '70 Barracuda after a few years absence, and ran a perfect 9,900 first time out. And like most Norwegian racers he has no electronic help.

Note that there is 3 Anglias among the first 5, and best Chevy is qual no. 10!

In the eliminations we got Lene Jensen from Denmark in the first round. One of two lady racers in this race. Quite interesting since she beat us in this race last year.
Morten cut a good .409 light and was able to win on a 10.102. Mrs. Jensen broke out chasing him.
Next round we met consistent Finnish racer Pasi Korhonen in his '70 Camaro. This time we were beaten at the light and lost with a 10.038 to a 9.958.
The race was won by Swedish Håkan "Halmhatt" Mattsson in a similar car to ours, against "Ålands-Pelle" Erikssom from Finland who redlighted by 0,001 sek. !
