Nitro Nats 2002 Alastaro, Finland
July 5th to 7th 2002
Last updated July 21st 2002
After 10 hours on the road and 10 hours on a ferry we arrived in Alastaro in the deep of the Finnish forests.
This is a round in the European Championships including Pro-Stock, Methanol cars and Top Fuel. Therefore it is a three day event.
This has been the rainiest summer for as long as anyone can rember, and the whole friday we was sitting in the trailer listening to the rain fall on the roof.
Saturday was drier, and we got three qualification runs. We ran a decent 9.96 which was good for a third spot in the first round. But other drivers improved while we broke out so we ended up 8th.

Sunday dawned with rain again. So we had one more day of listening to the rain before we packed up and went home. 10 hours on a ferry and 10 hours on the road again. If you add up all the expences for the trip and divide that by the 30 seconds we ran, the rate pr. hour is ......... no, better forget it.
