SKO UNO Drag Festival 2000
July 27th - 30th Mantorp Park

Last updated August 29th. 2000

SKO UNO Drag Festival is Europe's biggest dragrace, and our plan was to participate this year.
However, the Swedes have more strict sound level rules than Norway. We therefore had to add some mufflers.
There is no space for conventional mufflers under our car, so we tried different versions to put into the collector.
None of them dampened the sound enough, and we also got problems with internal pressure in the engine causing oil-leaks.

"Where is all that oil coming from?"
"Everywhere!"

Since we did not find any solution to the problem, we decided to concentrate on races in Norway this season.
But we couldn't miss the biggest race in Europe, so we went as tourists.
However, when we showed up in the pits, we were called in to act as crew for a fellow Norwegian racer; Roy Johnny Ødegård. He is one of the most experienced Super Gas racers in Norway, so it was very interesting to crew for him.
