BIOGRAPHY
Moscow native, Timur
Yakubov started violin lessons at the age of five.
He studied with Natalia
Fichtengoltz in Gnessin Music school ,
Sergei Kravtchenko
and Aleksei Koshvanets in Moscow Conservatory.
Member of “Gnessin Quartet” he worked with Elena Ozol of “Russian
Quartet”, Valentin
Berlinskiy and Dmitri Shebalin of “Borodin Quartet”.
As a first violin of
“Gnessin Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra”, Timur
performed in Russia,
Mexico, France, Austria, Switzerland and Japan.
Solo activities include
performances with Astrkhan Orchestra
(conductor A.Sherbakov),
TV and radio appearances, CD recordings,
International Cultural
Program “New Names”, chamber music festival
“Homecoming”, public
master classes. On three occasions Timur was
granted an award by
“Association of Musicians of Switzerland”.
Nicolas Penel, Geneva
born, starts taking violin lesson sat the age of five,
with J.Berenson. In 1987
he won the 1st prize of the “Concours des
Jeunesses Musicales
Suisses” in the section of chamber music. In the
same competition six
years later he received the 3rd prize in the violin
section. He studied with
E.Gyr since 1988. In 1991 Nicolas receives a
scholarship from the
Kayaleh Foundation and works in the “Kayaleh
Violin Academy” as M.
Kayaleh’s assistant
. His professional
activities include a number of master classes and public
recitals in Switzerland,
France and Hungary, performances of the
chamber music and
participation in festivals. Nicolas currently studies
with Jean-Philippe
Audoli (1st violin of the “Ludwig String Quartet”).
Born in Sierra,
Switzerland, Laurent Galliano starts his first violin
lessons in the Superior
Music School in Sion, under Maitre Tibor Varga
at the age of 6. In
1995, Laurent obtains the 1st prize at the International
Competition in San
Bartolomeo al Mare in Italy as an altist; in 1996 he
receives the 2nd
prize at the “Jeunesses Musicales Suisses” Competition.
During the period
between 1996 and 2000 Laurent studies at the Geneva
State Music
Conservatory. Furthermore, Laurent plays in the Orchestra
of
Tibor Varga’s school
as an orchestrate, as well as soloist. He is
performing regularly the
“Varga Academy Trio”, having won a prize at
the Chamber Music
contest in Zurich. Laurent joined “Fratres” in
September 2001. He
played in March 2002 in
Tonhalle Hall in Zurich
as a solist. He continues his studies in
Hochschule fur Music in.
Mannheim, in the class of Jacques Mayencourt.
Born in Moscow, Danila
Ivanov enters Central Music School
at the age of five (professor G. Fedorenko). In 1993,
he is invited to participate
at the festrival "Los Genios del Siglo21" where he
performs cello concerto by
Boccherini
with the orchestra of Theatre de Colon. In 1994, Danila has performed
as soloist
with Kremlin Chamber Orchestra
under the direction of M.Rakhlevsky.
One year later, he performed as soloist with Chamber Orchestra of Lausanne,
also under direction of M.Rakhlevsky.
In 1996 Danila is the cellist of the year under 16 in Russia.
In 1998, Danila is granted a scholarship to study at the Geneva Conservatory,
where he studies under professor D.Grosgurin. 
In 2002, Danila is invited to participate in "Menuhin Festival" in Gstaad.
Later that year, he performed as soloist with Suisse Romande Orchestra,
under direction of V.Sinaiski.
Danila is a first prize winner of numerous competitions such as "Premio Mozart" in Bilbao,
"Provincia di Trappani and "Provincia Caltanissetta".
