“She is only fifteen” Mr. Drazen said, watching his students rush out the door. Mr. Dazen has been Tiara’s teacher ever sense she was 8. “She is so mature, and wise.” He whispered to himself. “She is the princess” mumbled Miss Kara, Mr. Drazen’s teacher’s aid. “Will you stop that!?” “Stop what?” “Stop reading my thoughts, that what!” Kara chuckled softly. “She’s gotta find out sooner of later” “Oh no she doesn’t!” “Why not?” “Stop being stupid, Kara!” “I beg your pardon?” “ If her Royal Highness find’s out…she’ll want to go back to the palace” “Sir, You very well know that her family’s dynasty has been destroyed…ever sense Tiara was one” “No, really, Kara? I never knew that about her” “Ha-ha” “I just have known her since she was taken to this town…I don’t want to hurt her feelings” Kara walks up to Mr. Drazen and puts her hand on his forehead “Hmm…you’d seem to be hot” “You should go into comedy...and leave me alone!” Chapter 1, part 1 Tiara sat on the curb of her house, actually isn’t hers…It was owned by two other classmates, Mara and kinja both 16. Tiara didn’t have to pay, of coarse. Tiara always cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner, cleans up, washes their clothes and run arraigns for them. Along with keeping the front and back gardens beautiful and bursting with live. A girl about her age dashed on her garden, and yielding a Staff like thing with two claws at the end, grasping what looked like a blue crystal ball on both ends. Pointed at a young man. “Excuse me, Miss” Tiara said mildly frustrated. Listen, kid, can’t you see I’m a little bit busy?” “Surrender, now, you badger! Or I will smith-” The pink hared boy said “Save it, will ya?” The girl slit the boy’s legs and his left foot. The boy fell to the ground, muttering “Help” “You disgust me, thief” “Oh so I’m a thief, am I?” “Didn’t I just say that?” suddenly a policeman handcuffed the girl and pulled on her arm. They do not have cars on ziama, (A planet where many people retreated to in the apocalypse of Earth) so the policeman tugged her arm tightly to the police station. A horse-driven carriage rushed by, picking up the boy and driving away to the hospital. “I wonder…what that was all about?” tiara said, tugging her hair lightly and forming it into a bun. Chapter 1, part 2 The stew boiled rapidly, and the toast had popped out of the toaster. “Tiara” Kinji wined, her short green hair tucked behind her ears. “What is it, Kinji?” “Will you do me a favor?” “ Kinji!” Mara said, putting her hands on hips. “Ohhhh what is it, Mara?” “Do not ask her for favors, she does enough for us” “Oh, that’s sweet of you, Mara, but I really don’t mind” Kinji is a tall, narrow-minded bossy girl; who intends to get her way, always. Mara, on the other hand, is more like Tiara. Mara is medium height, and loves animals. She grows her hair out until it reaches her hips, but cuts it because she hates the way it is a glossy, pearly color. Tiara is also medium height. Tiara prefers to wear dresses that touch her shoes, rather than more slender dresses that go down to the knees. Tiara has long, light purple colored hair that is in a bun most of the time. “Well uh, Ti, could you drop this letter of at the Police station?” Kinji asked slyly. “Sure, Kinji, I’ll do it first thing on my way to school” “Thanks” Kinji smiled. Mara sniffed the kitchen. “mmm, the kitchen smells soooo good!” “Thank you!” “Whaddya making, anyways? I don’t smell anything,” Kinji said snottily. Chapter 2, part 1 “Good morning, Kinji!” Tiara said, pulling Kinji’s purple blinds open and letting the sunshine threw, except there was no sunshine, considering it was raining outside. “I don’t wanna get up” Kinji was the only girl in the house that needed to be woken up. “Ugh, Kinji, sometimes you give me a headache” Mara said, fixing her tie. Kinji, Tiara, and Mara did agree on one thing. The school uniform. They all thought it was the ugliest uniform to be designed. It consisted of a purple suit jacket, blue and purple plaid skirt that went down to your knees, a blue shirt and a blue and purple tie. It may not sound that horrible, but it was. Tiara opened the door. “Goodbye, I’m off to school!” “Aren’t you going to wait for us?” Mara asked “I have to drop Kinji’s letter off at the police station” “Oh, well ok, Bye!” Mara replied “Ya, bye” Kinji said, shoving a donut into her mouth. Chapter, 2, part 2 Tiara had a beautiful bike. It was a blue, sparkly color that shimmered in the light. The color of the seat was a light purple. It looked brand new; and it almost was. Tiara got the bike when she was 13, but didn’t start riding it until she was 14. Tiara kicked up her kick stand, and started pedaling to the police station, but something else caught her eye. A ruby on the ground. Barely see able; it was covered in mud and was buried in the blue grass. “Wow” Tiara said to herself. “This looks like one of those rubies on that girl’s Staff thing.... She examined the ruby after rubbing the dirt off it. It was a boarded by a thin gold outline. She looked at the ruby, and thought she saw a reflection of the girl who it belonged to. She clutched it in her hand, riding on until her bike stopped at the police station. “Hello? Any body here” she said, after looking around. No reply. She slipped the letter on on of the tables, then walking back to the door, but stopped. “Hey, you” A girl’s voice said, coming from a jail cell. “Y-yes?” “Over here” She turned around seeing the girl that got arrested earlier. “I know who you are” “Are you trying to scare me, miss?” “No, but I don’t think you do” “Do what?” “Nevermind, princess Tiara” “How did you know my name-and what I’m not a princess” “That’s what you think” Tiara looked at her oddly, but walked closer to the cell. “How did you know my name?” “Oh, I know a lot of things. My name is Sorceress Iusha, at your service” “What? There are no such things as sorceress and sorceresses” “Oh ya, well look at this” Tiara stared blankly into Iusha’s eyes. Iusha then her closed her eyes, stepping back and opening her hands. A purple mist arose threw the door, and the cracks of the window, rising ankle high. “What is going on?” Tiara commanded, but no reply was given to her. A red bubble appeared, melting the jail bars with a trail of fire behind it, and disappeared at Tiara’s feet. “I...I” “Well, Tiara, what do you think of that?” “Who are you?” “Didn’t I already tell you? I am Sorceress Iusha, age 16. I have been practicing my sorcery at the ruins of your palace sense I was 7.” Tiara was over welmed with fear. Before Tiara could say another word, the sound of feet walking was by, so Iusha cleared out the mist, and grabbed Tiara’s wrist and ran out the front door, heading for the woods. Chapter 3, part 1 “C’mon princess, lets go!” “I have to get my bike!” Iusha took the bike and threw it up into the air, then teleporting it to Tiara’s house. “Can we go now?” “Go where?” “oh, never mind about that, just follow me” Tiara did, but in about five minutes she stopped and wondered why. Tiara came to a halt, gasping for air. “H-how, how can you run that fast, Iusha?” “I don’t know…” “Where are we going, Iusha?” Tiara said, frustrated. “That guy-the pink hared boy” “What about him?” “He was the one who destroyed your family’s great palace, your family's dynasty…” “What??” “Well, when you where 1 year old, and I was 2, he, Prince Darren was 5.” “Wait a sec-prince? Him?” “Yes, and his parents were scum, I mean, they sent 100 men to the castle just to kill your parents-the 40 of the men survived, and then they sent Darren out to finish the kingdom off with his magic. The other 40 men set houses on fire, but Darren has grown cruel do to his parents’ decision. A monk came to rescue you from the town you live in now, and my brother, who was 12 took me and tried to get away, only for darren to catch him- any ways, a women then took me away to live at another village-when I was 7, Darren’s family set my village on fire, I was strong enough to escape and hide in your kingdom’s ruins.” “So…where are we going?” “Your parents where brave people…” “how do you know all of this, Iusha? You were too young when you lived there to know what’s what” “I pass out a lot. And when I do, I see myself as a baby, and I see the whole kingdom, and all the great people who lived there, and your parents always talked about your future. Your mother was a mage before she married your father. She had the great ability to make peoples future-and she made yours.” “What?” “Is that all you say?” “What is the point of all this?” “Be patient-I’ll get to that part. Your mother said that you, the princess, would rule over the kingdom.” “Hello? There’s no kingdom anymore” “Your mother was a mage. You can also be one, and recreate the kingdom” “What? Can’t I please just go home? I mean, go back to my home, and live with Mara and Kinji?” “It is your destiny to rule over the kingdom, weather you like it or not” Tiara sighed, turning her head back towards her home, then looking back at Iusha. “Meet me here tomorrow morning, Tiara.” “And what if I don’t?” “You will, trust me.” Iusha turned around, raising her hand up that caused a green dust to surround her; then Iusha disappeared into the dust. Chapter 3, part 2 It was around 2:00 when Tiara got home. School ended at 3:00, but she didn’t feel like going. Tiara slipped her shoes off, and wrapped a worm blanket around her, pinning it with a safety pin. Tiara sat down on her bed until 3:00, and then rushing downstairs to greet Mara and Kinji. “Hi Mara, hi Kinji!” Tiara said, faking a smile. “Where were you, Tiara?” Mara said, ringing out her sobbing hair. “Uh…well, that’s actually a pretty funny story…and by funny I mean odd and mildly frightening…” Mara and Kinji looked at each other. “Well, Webster, are ya gonna tell us?” Tiara faked a laugh. “Well, you see, I ran into this girl at the police station…she uh, said that I was a princess. What a nut case, wouldn’t you say?” “I better go make some tea,” Mara said, walking fastly into the kitchen. “Uh…yeah, I better start cramming for that big English test tomorrow…cya. T” “Mara, Kinji” Both of the girls twitched, looking back at Tiara. “You tell her, Kinji” Mara said, looking down at her fingers” “nu-uh, you tell her” “Ok…Um, Tiara…the girl you met was, well, correct. Princess, I’m sorry for not telling you…” “Ya, what Mara said.” “how…how could you not tell me?” “Tiara” Kinji said “We got strict instructions from Mr. Drazen not to tell you” “I..I guess I understand. I have decided to leave this town…I am sorry, but it’s my destiny.” Without giving Kinji or Mara an opening to speak, she walked out the front door. Chapter 4, part 1 “Miss, may I visit a patient? His name is-“ “Sorry, ma’am, but visiting hours are over,” said the receptionist at the hospital, still stating at her book. “Please” Tiara rubbed her feat together, then finally said “In order of Princess Tiara” The women looked up, then nodded quickly. “Who is it that you are looking for?” “Darren” “Room 102” “Thank you, miss” Tiara knocked at Darren’s door, but no body repelled, so Tiara let herself in silently. “Prince, I would of expected a faster recovery for a son of two evil parents” Tiara felt bad for saying something so harsh, but she was filled with anger. “Iusha? Is that you?” Darren said, squinting his eyes. “No, Tiara” Darren got up, clutching his dagger close to his heart. “What do you want?” “I want an apology, and a treaty. Also your help…” “Well you can forget about it, princess. Why would I help you? I have my own plans. No I’d get out before I have to use some of my black magic” Tiara sneered at him, but exited because she knew she could never defend herself. “Good night, Princess” the receptionist said as Tiara pushed the doors open, sighing, then walking home. That night she slept on the padio, covering herself from the rain and wind. When Tiara woke up around 4:30 am, she found herself sleeping in her bed. No one else was up yet, so she didn’t have to say goodbye to Mara or Kinji. She knew she would be back, besides, her mother could make and predict the future, Why couldn’t Tiara? Chapter 4, part 2 “Hi, Tiara. Shall we go?” Iusha said, greeting Tiara at the small stream where they stopped last time. “Hello. Uh, how far is the ruins?” said Tiara, zipping her raincoat up. “Not that far, maybe 10 miles.” “10 miles! What!?” “If we have to stop, I’ll only stop in about 6 miles, it is generally not good to stop right after you start, because people might start following us.” Tiara sighed softly, following Iusha every step, and by every step becoming more and more confused and afraid. After about 5 miles, Tiara stopped to stick her tongue out in the rain to catch some raindrops, but was unsuccessful. Finally, 5 miles later, Iusha and Tiara approached stone blocks, the color of the blocks have been faded over time. The blocks weren’t actually whole blocks; they were chipped, and from the chips, cracks arose. “So, this is it?” Tiara gasped, grasping her knees and panting fastly. “Well, these are the ruins, you’ll be able to see part of the ruins in a couple of steps. I live about a half of mile ahead.” “So, do you live in a house built out of stone, or under a ledge, or what?” “Well, There are pillars that surround it, and the top is covered by thin slices of marble I found.” When they approached it, Tiara noticed a girl about 13 or 14 laid inside the house, right hand over her left shoulder. “Who is she, Iusha?” “I...I don’t know…She is sleeping, lets go see if she has any arms on her” “What? Of coarse she does. One beneath her left shoulder, and one…” “I don’t mean those kinds of arms!” Iusha lifted her head up, pressing her middle and index finger on her neck. “Well, she’s alive.” Iusha concluded. The girl had an odd outfit on...it was one piece that was one side lime, and on the other side yellow. It ended it pants, and the arm straps had fallen. She had very fair colored lips, you could not really tell if she had any, just a black line. Her blue hair was fairly short, covering most of face. “Oh my goodness” Tiara covered her mouth, looking at the girl’s leg. “Look at that cut!” Part of her right pant leg was torn, reviling a deep cut that stretched an inch wide. “It could be a trick…” “Iusha! How could you say that!?” “First of all, why is she here? I have never seen her before, nor her outfit. Second of all, she might of cut herself on purpose to trick us…so we will help her, and she might be an enemy.” “Well, her cut isn’t bleeding anymore…should we help her?” “Well, you might be right…OK, lets just bandage up her cute and wait until she wakes up…” And they did, first putting an ointment on the perimeter of her cut, then placing pads of gauze on it. Finally Iusha cut strips of her shirt off, wrapping it around her leg tightly. “There” “Now what, Iusha?” Iusha put the back of her hand on the girl’s forehead, finding her tempture to be very high. “She’s burning up…get me that rag, will you?” Iusha pointed at a pink, torn material ripped and dirty, but Tiara did as she was told, handing it too Iusha. Iusha then put the rag in a deep puddle like body of water cut into the floor. There was really no floor, just the stone ground. “Iusha, why didn’t you build your shelter out of wood instead of stone?” “Because, one, the wood is pretty much rotted, and, two, stone is stronger and there is more of it” Iusha placed the rag on the girl’s forehead. “Would you like anything to drink? Water?” “No, thank you” Iusha and Tiara didn’t say anything for the next 7 minutes, but started talking when the girl started to whimper, and turned around lying on her side. Iusha took the rag and repetitively dampened the girl’s face, until she opened her groggy eyes, peering at Iusha. “I.... I…Iusha? Is that you?” “…Do I know you?” “Iusha, you do not recognize me?” “No, I don’t” The girl lifted herself half up, rubbing her head. “Princess?!” the girl jumped up, running over to Tiara and bowing. “Who are you?” “My name is Lizanda, Princess” “OK, but who are you?” Iusha looked at the girl oddly. “Well, I have lived in your ruins since I was 10…I am psychic, but not like telling the future psychic. I can listen to anybody’s conversations or their thoughts in the world. Present or past. “Ow!” Lizanda yelped, hopping on her left leg. “You poor thing, you better lay down” Iusha said, laying down two thick blankets and then helping Lizanda down. “Who did that too you?” said Tiara. “Uh, I think it was Darren. A pity that he’s such a jerk, considerin’ you need his staff to-“ Lizanda was interrupted bye Iusha’s signal to stop. “Oh, right, you haven’t told her that yet” “Told me what yet, Iusha?” Tiara commanded. “Eh heh, I guess I forgot to mentchion that little detail, huh?” Iusha scratched her head and laughed a nervous laugh. “I guess you did, Iusha.” “yep” “Well” “Well, you see, um, Lizanda, you finish my sentence, ok?” “Eh…um, I’m too weak” “Well, Tiara, I have a staff, and so does Darren, right” “Right…” “You wanna recreate the kingdom, right?” “I… I guess so.” “Well, there are 2 sides. The Xillio Kingdom, your family’s kingdom, has their own staffs, and there are the Drianch’s kingdom’s staffs. So, If you are or lived in Xillio’s Kingdom, you can only create Staffs from that side. Concluding that you have to have both sides to recreate or create a town, village, or world.” “Oh! How are we gonna get a staff from the Drianch’s side?” “Well, tomorrow, I’ll find someone who can pretend to ally on the Drianch Family, and then steal his staff” “Well, ok” Tiara said, pouring some water in the pot that hung over the burning fire. Chapter 5, part 1 All the girls where asleep, and the kettle was dry. The fire had been put out, but a single candle burned silently. When the girls woke up, well, Iusha was the first one to be awake, chopping carrots over the stone chopping board. Then Tiara woke up, and got a wood carved cup, filling it with water. “ I have the perfect chance for you to become more strong…why don’t you go hunt? Just get something that I can put in a stew, ok?” Tiara gulped. “Hunt? With what?” Iusha handed her a bow and a basket of arrows. Iusha strapped the basket of arrows to Tiara’s back, and handed her the bow. “Oh, and, Since you are the princess of the Xillio family, you should have a staff. Here is a list of materials.” The list read: Recipe for Xillio’s Staff Ingredients 1. 2 Rubes 2. 1 Sapphire 3. Cup Blue and red grass 4. ½ cup Dew from rose leaves 5. Drop of blood 6. Mermaid’s Pearl Equipment 1. gold bowl 2. wood spoon 3. Xillio Dagger Directions First go to a serene and remote lake. Then place the golden bowl in the shallow water, putting the jewels in the water, then the bowl. Take the dagger and pierce your skin with it, revealing a drop of blood on the sapphire stone. Take wooden spoon and mash; finding jewels dissolve into paste. Take half of the red grass and half of the blue grass and put in bowl. Use half cup of dew, and stir until fairly lumpy. Place other half of blue and red grass and the rest of dew in bowl. Stir until lumpy. Let the paste sit for one hour, and then dumping into water. Close your eyes. Put your hands in the water and pull out the staff. “Ok…so, where do I get the equipment?” Tiara questioned, still looking at the recipe. Iusha then handed tiara the golden basket and the wooden spoon. “What about the dagger?” “Tiara…please do not loose this dagger…it is one of the only things left from the Xillio kingdom” “Don’t worry, Iusha, I’ll take care of it” Iusha handed Tiara the dagger. “Oh, and you’ll have to find the jewels yourself.” “What?!” “I do not have them. Trust me, you’ll find them on your way.” “O…ok” Lizanda stared at the dagger. “Good luck” Lizanda finally remarked, sitting down on one of the stone blocks. “Ya…” Tiara walked off into the woods, until she could not be seen or see Lizanda and Iusha. Chapter 5, part 2 After about 20 minutes, Tiara decided to sit down for a second. She rested herself on the low trunk of a tree, closing her eyes. She opened the again because of discomfort. “Ouch, what am I sitting on?” she moved over, discovering a blue stone. “Could this be a sapphire?” Tiara thought to herself. She picked up the sparkling mineral, and then tossing it into the basket strapped onto her back. It was still raining, but it wasn’t as windy or as muddy. Tiara managed to lift herself up from the ground, heading onwards down the forest. “When am I going to get there?” Tiara muttered an hour later, still walking. All of the sudden, Tiara’s vision got blurry. Every thing seemed to start fading away, and she collapsed to the ground, huffing and puffing. Tiara now could not see anything, and she felt the wind past by her. Everything around Tiara was black; it was like waking up at 2:00 am in the forest. “Hello?’ tiara yelled, hearing a loud echo coming back to her. A woman stepped in front of her, with short blue hair. She was very elegant, and was wearing red wedding dress with rubies on it. She disappeared, and for some reason, tiara followed her, running fastly, but could not find her. She looked down, and felt herself go up. Tiara woke up in the forest, panting. “What an odd dream” Tiara heard a rumbling in the bushes. She drew her bow and took out an arrow. A pink horse stepped out of the bush, neighing and walking towards tiara. Tiara stood up, startled, but petted it. It was pretty small, only reaching tiara’s waste. It was very pretty, with a green mane and purple eyes. “What a rare color” Tiara rubbed the horses back, noticing something she did not before. Huge, pastel blue wing, and a white horn on the center of its forehead. “Oh, wow, are you an unicorn?” not surprisingly, it did not reply, but it rubbed its head against Tiara’s leg. Tiara bent down, hugging it. “Wow, I thought you were just a myth! Can you really fly?” Tiara sat on it, running her fingers along it’s thick mane. The unicorn started to take off into the sky, and tiara screamed, gripping its neck. A thought quickly appeared through Tiara’s mind. Don’t be afraid, I won’t let you fall Tiara nearly passed out, letting her hands be released from the unicorn. When she hit the muddy ground, she did pass out, and heard the unicorn’s hoofs reach the ground. Chapter 6, part 1 When Tiara awoke, she was in some sort of hut. She was on an elevated cot sort of bed, with candles all around the upper border. It was pretty warm in the room, and she flipped off the two thin blankets that were on her. Tiara could tell it was still raining because there was a window cut in the side of the bamboo wall. There was no glass, but rain did not enter. From the long hallway came a girl about 16 years old. She was medium height, had short, messy hair, and, had big cat ears! She also had a cat nose! Her outfit was one she never saw before: a short dress that had noted rope as a belt and the white dress ended in large pleads. Tiara fell over and scooted away from the girl. “W-who, or what are you?” tiara said in terror. “I take it you haven’t seen anybody else of my race around here, have you, Tiara” “No…how come every body knows my name?” the girl smiled, handing Tiara a cup of hot tea. “Well, you are a goddess” “WHAT?” “Let me explain. We, I, am a panth-uk-ule” “A what?” “Evolved form of a panther” “Wow…” “And, well, your people use the words “princesses” and “princes” and “kings” and “queens” “Yes…” “Well, this is kind of difficult to explain. Our religion bases on any one who is born into royalty, or marries royalty” “Uh…” “And we believe it is destiny to be royalty, because you are daughters and sons of the great goddess, angelica” “Oh…ok…so, how did I get here, miss….” “My name is lilac. Your friend got u here” “Who?” “The unicorn” “Oh?” “Yes, my father was out by the lake, fishing, and this unicorn flew in, and dropped you off here.” “Do you know what time it is, Lilac?” “Yes…. It is 7:30pm. The unicorn dropped you off at 5:50pm” “And I have been sleeping all that time?” “Yes, goddess, you have a fever” “Oh, Lilac, you don’t have to call me goddess” “Well, ok, Princess” “Just call me Tiara” “If that is what you wish…” Chapter 6, part 2 Tiara put the cup of tea down on the floor, and Lilac picked it up and put it in the basket she was carrying. “Will you join us for dinner, Tiara?” “What are you having?” “Fish” “My favorite” Tiara smiled, getting up by the help of Lilac’s help. When they entered one of the many rooms in the hallways, there was a fairly long table. Sitting there were 5 men, 1 girl about 7 years old, and 2 teenage girls, not including Lilac or herself. One of the men stood up from the opposite side of the table. He kneeled down and kissed her hand. “Goddess Tiara, how much you’ve grown…” he said, still bent down. Tiara took a step back. “Since when?” “Lilac” the man said. “Why don’t you go home, thanks for your help, dear” “Ok, bye, Tiara” “Bye” Tiara waved goodbye at her, and turned around facing the man. He got up now, and dusted off his pants. “Goddess Tiara, We, the panthukules are the finest warriors in Ziama. And, we protect “royalty” families and their kingdom. The Xillio family, well, I used to be a warrior, until I broke my knees fighting against the Drianch family, but that is another story. Anyhow, I saw you when you were 1 day old. You were so tiny. I lived in the Xillio castle since the day you were born, until the day the Xillio kingdom came to the end.” “Why?” “Why what?” “Why did you stay at our castle?” “Well, when you were born, the Drianch family thought your kingdom would be weak, and started the first attack 2 days before you were born. The hut I lived in before that attack was too far away to protect your family, so your kind parents offered to let me stay at their castle” “Oh” “Will you please shut up so we can eat?” A rude voice blurted out from one of the teenage girls/ “How rude! Oh! How I wish you weren’t our best warrior, because if you weren’t, I wouldn’t have to deal with you!” The man said, making a fist. “Hello” Tiara greeted the girl, as she walked over there/ “Do you want me to call you goddess?” She chuckled brushing back her short hair with her hand. Tiara blushed. “N…no…Tiara, is fine, w-what is your name, Miss?” “Does it matter?” Tiara sat don beside her, not knowing what to say. The man pushed her chair, and she fell on the ground with a thump. “HEY! WHY DON’T YOU…” “Calm down.” He said, lifting her chair up. “A...are you ok?” tiara softly commented. Big mistake. “WHY WOULDN’T I BE OK? DO YOU THINK I AM SOME KINDA WIMP! HEY, LOOK IN THE MIRRIOR!” She threw down her chair and stormed of, stomping every step Tiara could hear. The man sat down at one of the ends of the table. “Who is she?” Tiara was still blushing. “She? She’s not a she, ties a monster” the other teenager commented. “That didn’t make any sense, Lily. Goddess, forgive her. She is the eldest of the teens in our village but by far the most immature” “What is her name” “Jasmine. She doesn’t deserve that name,” the girl said, forking a piece of salmon into her mouth. “Jasmine is a beautiful name. It should go with some one who is elegant, and wise, and ladylike” “Priestess!” he said, cutting into the fish. “I’m sorry, its…just...Did I introduce myself, Goddess? Forgive me. My name Is Priestess Lily, I represent the Xillio family.” “I’m pleased to meet you” Tiara smiled “The pleasures all mine, after all, its not every day you meet a goddess” Chapter 7, part 1 10 minutes later, everyone was finishing their meal of Salmon and buttered bread. “That was great, Sir, Thank you.” “Sir! Please, Goddess, Call me Herb.” “Ok, Herb, Thank you” “I am honored, but I believe the recognition goes to the warriors” “…Ok…” “Speaking of which…” A younger man said, “They haven’t got back yet, have they” “I’m sure they'll be fine,” Herb said “I don’t know…maybe we should…. Lily, could you help us out?” The younger man said. Lily smiled. “Yes, of coarse, Root, Lets go to my shrine.” When they arrived at the large shrine built out of bamboo and had a grass roof, the entered promptly through the large doors. “Come with me” Lily suggested. Lily put her robe on that was very pretty…with pink ribbons and the robe was white silk. She put on a pair of golden earrings with diamonds in the center of them. Placing her pastel blue evening gloves on, she walked up to the small pillar that had a blue ball partly stuck into it. Lily closed her eyes. Candles flickered and wind bellowed through the windows. Lily’s head tilted back and her feat lifted from the floor. She opened her eyes. Looking at the blue glass ball, she whispered “Warriors…trapped…. No food… weapons broke…” Lily’s eyes widened and then she clopased. Root immediately ran up and lifted Lily’s body up, nudging her head “Why did she fall?” Tiara asked. “It takes up a great amount of energy…To you or me, it would be lie running 8 miles without stopping in 3 minutes...you would collapse” Root said, still holding Lily as she awoke. SWOOSH. The sound of the Shrine’s doors swinging open ruthlessly. Tiara turned around, as well as Root and Herb. “Jasmine!” Tiara ran up to Jasmine, curtsying.” “Whets your problem?” “Uh, Jasmine…I have bad news…” “What is it?” “Well, all of the warriors are trapped…and we don’t have any food” “So? Those dimwits are so stupid…what where you thinking, herb? Letting them go without me?” “They would of probably got so fed up with you they would of killed you…” “Oh shut up you old bag, I could take them all down with 2 kicks and a swing of my staff, and you know it.” “OLD BAG, OLD BAG!!! I am only 35!!!!” “Heh…you act so much older, you cripple…” You could literally see Herb’s face turn to a burning red. “CAN A CRIPPLE DO THIS?!” Herb said, pulling out his two-headed sword, punching near Jasmine and then swinging, only for Jasmine to duck and bite his leg. She slid under him, and kicked his back, but herb already had turned around. He jumped unbelievably high into the air and knocked down Jasmine. Herb wasn’t out of breath, because he said quite clearly “Learn some Manners” Jasmine grinded her teeth together. Chapter 7, part 2 To prevent another fight, Tiara walked in between them and said “If you do think I am a goddess, and want to make me happy, please do not fight. I don’t want either of you to get hurt, I am fond of both of you, please…” “G…Goddess, I am sorry, please forgive me” Herb spoke sincerely “Don’t worry about it.” Tiara glanced over at Jasmine. “You all right?” “I…I think I hurt my ankle…” Jasmine’s head was against her ankle, and a bruise was starting to form.” “Herb, Root, is their anything we can do to help her?” “Root casually strolled over to Jasmine and inspected her foot.” “I am no doctor, but it may be broken” “Well that’s no problem, Miss Rose can fix that.” Uttered Herb as he looked at Jasmine’s ankle. “Rose…Who is that?” “Rose, ah, Rose, the great, uh, the great healer.” Tiara was mildly perplexed, but figured she would understand more when she met Rose. Herb and Root dragged Jasmine out of the shrine, leaving Lily to nap; to a near by hut. “Oh, Miss Rose, I am so pleased you are hear…It seams that Jasmine injured her ankle, could you help her?” Rose lifted Jasmine up to one of the 5 elevated cots and bent down, examining the leg carefully. “Well” Rose said, standing up, “It is a minor case, but I’ll heal her” “Oh, really, Miss rose, thank you!” “And, who are you, Miss? You’re not a panthukule.” “No, I am, um, visiting” “Oh, don’t be so modest, Tiara” Herb chuckled. “ T-Tiara? The Goddess, Tiara?” “Oh, um, I guess that’s me” “Oh, forgive me, I-I did not know” Before Tiara could reply, a man, about 19, topless, crawled in the hut with many cuts and bruises. “Jasmine will just have to wait, this is serious, Tiara, you can watch” The man had a lot of muscles, but the thin Rose lifted him up and put him on a cot. Rose touched her hands to one of the man’s cuts, and lifted them an inch above. Rose let her eyelids fall slightly, as a green light spread around Rose’s body, and finally, through her hands and into the man’s body. Amazingly, the cuts closed! She did this until his cuts where all gone “Thank, you, I think I broke one of my ribs” he muttered, half asleep. “Ok, ok, hold on” Rose walked over to a counter and poured a light green liquid into a glass jar. “Drink this.” And he did. A minute after, he fell asleep. “Wow, rose, that’s some power. What did the green liquid do?” “Oh, that? That is a simple little potion that I made. You drink it, and you go to sleep. For the 15 minutes you’re asleep, and broken bones bind rapidly and any sores fade away.” “Wow, you are a miracle!” Tiara practically sang. “Nah, there are others, just not in this town or culture” “Now, Jasmine” Rose stepped forward to where jasmine sat. “Lay Down, honey” “O.K.” and she did, closing her eyes as well. “Now, Jasmine, lay still, I’ll cure your bruise and then give you some of my home made potion!” “This isn’t the first time, Rose” Rose did the same thing as she did to the man, and then gave her the potion. Chapter 8, part 1 Tiara was in the Royal bathing room. The Royal bathing room was actually quiet neat; it had 2 large, shallow bathtubs that were floor level, and they were steaming hot. There was a box of chocolate that was free for anyone to eat, and a wardrobe. Not just anybody could go into the royal bathing room, only royalty, ones who where recovering, and ones who were of high class or officials. Also in the one Tiara was in, you had to be female. Tiara pranced over to the large box of chocolate and grabbed one. Slipping her feet into the tub, she smiled and swam into the middle of the tub, licking her fingers. A woman with red hair walked into the room, closing the door behind her. Her cat ears were particularly slender, and she had very exotic looking eyes. “This is for you,” she said, placing it on the marble bench by the bathtub. Tiara blushed, and grabbed a towel. “Oh, I am very sorry to intrude on you like this, Goddess” “Um, Thank you, Miss” “Have a nice day, Tiara” “Uh…you too” The woman took Tiara’s clothes and placed them in a basket she was carrying under her arm. Before she exited, she said to Tiara “Oh, Miss Tiara, Mr. Herb would like to talk to you” she opened the bamboo door, walked out, and closed it. “Hmm, I wonder what she gave me?” Tiara pulled herself up from the tub and wrapped a blanket around her. It seemed to be a tunic or something. She picked it up and let the bottom end fall freely. It was the same outfit all the girls and women panthukules have been wearing. Their where slippers that on the bottom had leather, and weren’t pink and fuzzy, so Tiara guessed the pair of slippers weren’t for indoors. The slippers were the same color of the tunic; pink. There was also a rope, which she tied around her waste. Tiara put her slippers on; towel dried her hair and walked outside of the bathing room. A room across from the bathing room was where herb was sitting, talking with 2 other men. Herb didn’t seem to notice Tiara, so she walked in and straitened out the skirt part of the dress. “What do you mean we don’t know were the warriors are?” one man said “Well, I guess they got lost” Herb replied “Oh, well that’s great. Really, herb how the heck can you loose 20 men and 5 women one mission?” The other man said, arms folded. “Excuse me” Tiara apologized. “But, I think Mr. Herb had thought that they wouldn’t get lost…” “Pardon me, Goddess, but we have 26 warriors. Why would you send them all out at once? It is very idiotic” the first man replied. “Well, we had barely no food then, and one panthukules can only carry so much…” “Yes, Herb, no we have no food” “Well, uh, well, Tiara!” Herb nervously laughed, pulling Tiara in front of him. “WHAT?” Tiara surpassingly said. “Eh heh, well, I’m sure goddesses and gods have a lot of power, right?” Herb was still nervous. “She will do just find accompany our, eh, one warrior” “Well” One of the men said, rubbing his chin “only if she gets some training in” “JAS-MINE!” Herb yelled, cupping his hands around his mouth. 2 minutes later, jasmine walked in the door. “What is it? Jasmine laced up her boots. “No, wait, your going to ask a favor of me, aren’t you?” “Uh…” herb said reluctantly. “Well, what is it?” “Could you go hunting?” “Ah, no prob.” “And take Tiara with you.” Jasmine started to open her mouth, but Herb pushed both Tiara and Jasmine outside the door and closed it. Jasmine grabbed Tiara’s wrist and said, “Follow me” as if Tiara was a child! “Where are we going?” Tiara questioned, releasing her wrist from Jasmine’s hand. “To The training grounds” When they got out side the hallway, there were many huts and a stream that went across town. Tiara saw a woman holding her baby as it got a drink from the creek, and she saw a man sitting on a stump, shaping his knife. The “training grounds” was a square area that was barbed wired; and about an acre. There was not grass nor gravel, but fine, compressed sand. Jasmine opened the wooden gate and went to the corner and got a helmet, and a breastplate, and handed Tiara the same. Jasmine laughed a brief laugh as she looked at Tiara’s shoes. “You’re not going to actually use those? Are you?” “I don’t see why not,” Tara said, straightening her helmet. “Now what?” Jasmine pulled put her sword and threw Tiara another one. “I don’t like this stupid helmet” Jasmine commented to herself, as she flew up in the air, flipped it off, and stabbed Tiara. Tiara fell to the ground and grabbed her arm. “Ow, jeez, that hurt” Tiara got up, one eye closed and kicked Jasmine. “Wow, you actually caught me off guard” Jasmine was impressed. Jasmine walked over to wear she got the armory and took a long strand of some kind of binding material and binded Tiara’s arm with it. The gates opened, and one man and one woman dashed in, clinging their swords together in a aggressive fury. “I’ll…kill….you…david….” The woman said in between of their swords slashing. David stepped back and knocked Tiara down, and Tiara screamed briefly. “HEY!” Jasmine put her sword away and slid in between the fighting pair. Jasmine had a angry look on her face and with one arm, grabbed David’s neck and held him 3 inches above her head.
