JediMaeve: Tia,What can you tell us about the new character?

TIA CARRERE: The new girl is in sharp contrast to Claudia, this girl needs the job. She's more streetwise and blue-collar than Claudia was so it's a different perspective.

AlHooter: What is your favourite part of playing the role of Sydney Fox?

TIA CARRERE: Getting to be funny and kickass is my favourite part of the job. Sometimes at the same time!

Bionicguru: Tia do you prefer filming in Toronto or France.

TIA CARRERE: I prefer shooting in Toronto because it's closer to home and I get to speak English and I have my motorhome here!

Quinn McFly: What your fav. place in Toronto?

TIA CARRERE: At home in bed!

Photoguy: Tia I understand martial arts are part of your background. What disciplines do you practice?

TIA CARRERE: Completely undisciplined.

TIA CARRERE: Ever since I started in the business it's been expected that I perform in the martial arts so I've picked up a little bit of everything along the way.

Little Nicky Field: What would you expect from different Sydney's character this season?

TIA CARRERE: In year 3 you get to see more into what makes Sydney the person that she is today, what made her want to become a relic hunter and we also play with the Sydney/Nigel dynamic more.

Kalel: Tia - If you could visit anytime period in the past where/when would you want to visit/see?

TIA CARRERE: I think I would like to find out about Jack the Ripper.

Sway: Are you going to be shooting any feature films in the future?

TIA CARRERE: I'm too tired from relic hunting but I am working on a new record album.

Nova: When playing your character, what other character do you use as role models?

TIA CARRERE: A little Indiana , a little Scoobie Doo.

genie_001: Whats your favourite episode?

TIA CARRERE: My favourite episode of Relic Hunter .....that's hard, it's like choosing your favourite child...at 54 episodes it's really hard to choose. I love them all.

Gaterider: What do you think is the most important statement that the show makes?

TIA CARRERE: That girls don't need to be the damsel in distress that need to be saved anymore. We can save ourselves thank you very much!

Little Nicky Field: What's the most exotic location you got to go to while filming RH?

TIA CARRERE: Scarborough Bluffs....just kidding.....yeah seriously I think it's the Scarborough Bluffs.

Gaterider: How much physical training do you go thru for this show?

TIA CARRERE: As little as possible. It's all about self-preservation at this point. Just kidding I have to be active everyday.

Nova: All this time that you have been playing a relic hunter, have you ever gone on a real relic hunt?

TIA CARRERE: I love to travel and whenever I go to a country I explore the notable historic sites like ruins in South America and the pyramids in Egypt.

kha_ramesses: Have you ever been injured doing the show?

TIA CARRERE: I got an elbow in the nose once that adjusted my neck.

genie_001: How long does it take to create an episode?

TIA CARRERE: Eight days approximately.

kia_132001: do you choose what you wear?

TIA CARRERE: Yes I choose what I wear. You have to feel comfortable in what you're wearing...

Gaterider: Do you have a stunt double? What stunts have you performed, and what has been the hardest stunt you have ever done?

TIA CARRERE: Yes I do have a stunt double....for the very difficult moves but I have to do all the fighting myself.

Krystallum: How many more seasons do you think that Relic Hunter will play?

TIA CARRERE: They always say if you get to three season's you'll get to five or six but I have to say I'm exhausted...

CDKNIGHT: tia what do u think of us Canadians?

TIA CARRERE: Really nice, kind people.

Photoguy: Do you think Sydney Fox will ever make it to the wedding alter?

TIA CARRERE: Well the show would be over then wouldn't it. No, because she has to have "adventures" with other relic hunters around the world.

sk8bdr: do u like relic hunter more than waynes world?

TIA CARRERE: Those are two entirely different things....but Sydney is entirely my thing and that would be the difference.

Kz: how similar are Sydney and Nigel to your true selves?

TIA CARRERE: Sydney and Nigel are absolutely the opposite to our true selves. He's a wild beast and I have to sit on a blanket on the grass.

TIA CARRERE: To the little girl in the chat lobby, Akaido is a great idea because being able to defend yourself as a female gives you a great deal of confidence

Homer: Do you think you'll ever make a RH movie?

TIA CARRERE: I don't see a Relic Hunter movie in the future....you know what...I don't really know. Let's ask Fireworks!

JediMaeve: Is it possible you are related (character) to Indy Jones?

TIA CARRERE: Indy jones? I wish that were true then I could be in Indy part four. I think you should send an email to paramount to that one!

Quinn McFly: Did you watch yourself on tv?

TIA CARRERE: As little as possible. It's excruciating!

Krystallum: How old were you when you first started acting?

TIA CARRERE: I was 17 years old when I started acting. I was discovered in a grocery store in Hawaii.

Little Nicky Field: What was your first film?

TIA CARRERE: My first role was in a film called Aloha Summer.

Bruneau: Honolulu?

TIA CARRERE: Yep Honolulu.

Photoguy: How was it working with "Ahhhnold" on True Lies??

TIA CARRERE: Working with Arnold was great. It was the hugest movie ever.....and it was such an adventure....We shot 10 pages a day with Relic Hunter and 3 pages a day with a film.

MasterM: Tia, I have been waiting outside...there is a bit of a line up to get to speak to you...feels like I just got into an expensive club. chatting online must be weird for you because you seem like more of a face to face lady...are you enjoying it at all?

TIA CARRERE: I'm constantly amazed by the technology at hand so it's kind of cool actually because I don't have to wear makeup...I can be in my sweatpants in my room.

Photoguy: What kind of music do you like listening to?

TIA CARRERE: I like my own because I've been demoing my songs and it's alternative rock.

Barond: What is the first episode about this year?

TIA CARRERE: I don't think we know about our first episode.....it's based on which one is the strongest. I don't exactly know to be honest....

TIA CARRERE: Well there is the dragon egg episode..it's very exciting, stakes are high and it was fun shooting it.

Ken: You use a mini cross bow in the show does it work or is it a prop.

TIA CARRERE: The mini cross bow.....I'll take the fifth, it might incriminate me!

Bomber: What kind of adventures can we expect this season?

TIA CARRERE: The scripts are great, stories are flushed out, action looks amazing and ummm...I think they're going to look really good, big and exciting. So you'd better watch.

Little Nicky Field: Do you ever hang out with Mike Myers in Toronto?

TIA CARRERE: No I've run into him a couple of times at various places...

Gaterider: What was your favorite show growing up?

TIA CARRERE: tv show......? oh geeez....I dream of Jeanne was one of my faves but then I realized the misogynist undercurrent... here was a girl that was locked up in a bottle when she was bad and had to call her man master.

Kalel: Tia - Is there anything you would want to on RH that you have not yet?

TIA CARRERE: Sydney hasn't found a boyfriend up to her level and that's one thing we could do. Not one of them has fit the part.

Little Nicky Field: How did Sydney become the kick butt relic hunter that she is?

TIA CARRERE: Sydney became kick "butt" through fierce ambition and hunger.

Homer: Do you think Sidney and Nigel might have a future?

Little Nicky Field: nudge nudge wink wink nibble nibble

TIA CARRERE: Sydney and Nigel have a future? oh dear.....nibble Nigel? no I don't think so!

TIA CARRERE: I think the thing that keeps the balance of the show is the constant imbalance in their relationship...attraction and respect but never stepping over the line. Look what happens in moonlighting when they got together. You want them to get together but you don't.

Greba: What's the best way to ask out Sidney?

TIA CARRERE: Try me.

Ken: Will Nigel find true love this year?

TIA CARRERE: Nigel find someone? What are you kidding me, Nigel always has someone,...poor Sydney.

Missingrelic: do u know any thing about the relichunter game?

TIA CARRERE: The relic hunter game? hadn't heard of it.....

Tenchi: Sydney Fox vs. Lara Croft vs. Nikita vs. Dark Angel vs. Buffy vs. Amy (from Zombie Nightmare)>> who's the most badass chick?

TIA CARRERE: The most kick butt gal? Is this an actual question or a sexual fantasy?

Missingrelic: do u ever visit fan sites on the internet like relichunter.org and tiatime.com ,ect.?

TIA CARRERE: fan sites.....I have been pretty much impressed with this guy in Sweden's site. I try to get to them...

Quinn McFly: What last book did you read?

TIA CARRERE: Tuesdays with Morrie. Beautiful little book. Reminds you of what's important in life...Mitch Albom is the author.

Drove: When they were thinking about making a television series did you have any say on the theme?

TIA CARRERE: I do have creative input on story ideas and creative issues but I'm afraid there are only so many hours in the day that I must leave that to the capable team of writers...only so much of me!

Little Nicky Field: who is ur favorite author?

TIA CARRERE: Favourite author.....? hmmm....it's hard to say...I love books, my newest love is a Brazilian writer Paulo Poelho....also Robert Ludlum to Dorothy Parker, Gertrude stein......I just love reading and I think more people should read more.

Ken: Has filming finished for this up coming year and if so what will you be doing over the winter?

TIA CARRERE: Shooting finished up? Oh dear no, we've only just begun. We finish in TO in November and continue in Europe until February.

Tristen: Can you tell us more about your music? Do you write all of your own songs?

TIA CARRERE: Yes I write my own stuff. Music is my passion, though I have a great day job....and I'm going back to play my new songs for a music attorney that got the deal for Nirvana so wish me luck.

ZeroCool_2010: Can you recall a really funny blooper while filming a Rh show?

TIA CARRERE: Well it was kind of painful when I had this fight scene where I was using my purse like a numchucks except it was a hard metal purse and I wrapped it around the guys leg, flipped him, pulled it back and it hit me square in the top lip. I tried to put on a brave face but it hurt like heck and all of a sudden I looked like one of those collagen lip kewpie dolls so popular in Hollywood.
