Tico's Progress History
OK - here's the deal about the weigh in.  As many of you know - I had a little car accident two weeks ago that has put a hamper on my working out.  Can't use my right arm very well and can't work out like I'd like to - and, anything you can eat with one hand just ain't good for you!  Anyway, enough of the excuses - if I'm going to reduce my risk anyway, it's going to have to be with diet changes - probably better anyway.  It's going to be a little slower, so pledge more.  I'll weigh in for real next Sunday so stay tuned and pledge more since my loss will likely be less!!  Tico
After getting off to a slow start, I'm on the way to actually reducing my risk.  OK, so I gained two pounds in the first two weeks of the campaign - didn't want this to be too easy ya know.  So, here's the report - first two weeks, gained two pounds - last week - I got serious - 5 trips to the gym, no carbs and a lot of water - the result, total weight loss last week was 13 lbs - 11 lbs. net so far.  Now, don't be alarmed - this is the first real week and the losses will be greater last week and next week than for the rest of the contest so don't extrapolate the 13 lbs times 5 and assume I'll be svelt when we're done - I think the easy work is done and that you should pledge now and often to help me reach my goal.  Thanks for the support!!  Tico

OK, so it's been a little slow on the weight loss.  Only three pounds this week -- got a little busy and didn't get to the gym as much as I needed to and that little restaurant we own - Concha Me Crazy - has really good food!  I'll try a little harder this week and try to get to the gym more often.

Please, in light of my recent inability to get to the gym pledge more and tell your friends.   Tico

OK, so I've been gone and out of touch for the last couple of weeks....Sorry!  I was away doing some Boy Scout stuff and then was forced to the Islands on work - by the way, neither one of which is very conducive to weight loss.  Anyway, only lost 2 lbs. since I've been away but I have one week to go and plan to try to shed about 8 more this week to at least get around 20 for the project.  I'll get you all an email on Sunday with a report on total loss and the amount of contribution you've made.  Thanks again.  By the way, O'boy's Barbeque has my pigs for sale and swing by and buy one for me if you will.  We are also planning a event on Friday night and will get back to you with information in the next day or so.  Thanks for your support.  Tico
OK, its done now...we are finished and all that's left is counting the cash and smooching the pink porcine on Monday.  We missed the 40 pound goal but DID LOSE 20.  Lots or reasons (excuses) - car accident, travel schedule - you name it, I got one for it.  However, at the end of the day, this is about raising money to help cure a miserable and deadly disease so if you'd like to add a little to the pledge, please don't feel constrained to limit your gift to the amount pledged.  I hope to see you Monday night at the Kiss a Pig closing party and want to thank all of you and the staff at ADA, as well as, most of all my webmaster wife Donna for all the support.  Thanks for everything and I'll see ya on Monday.  Tico
