| What? Im sexy, it's true!! (scene starts outside Shawn's rented Condo in LA, California it is early morning, the sun has only shown itself, Shawn finds his mansion in one of the richest part of not only Cali but also the world, his success in the sport of wrestling has made him one of the richest men in the business, life is good for him. He has money to burn and a woman that loves him to go home to. In his time there, the TWW has established itself as one of America's most profitable businesses and with it brings huge benefits to it's employees. Shawn has long been one of the most hated men in the sport so how has he made it to being one of the richest, most respected men in America. It is a question many people ask and few know the answer to. However Shawn's in-ring alter ego is a far cry from his true personality...) (the camera cuts inside Shawn's condo, right into his bedroom, the early morning sunshine shines through the curtains, Shawn lays in bed with the woman of his life Arianna cuddling him, suddenly the alarm clock goes off...) The LP - "Time to go to work, babe" Ari - "What time is it?" The LP - "It's 6.30, you got back to sleep" Ari - "Come on, take one day off" (Shawn gets out of bed, and puts on some pants, they continue to talk as Shawn gets dressed) The LP - "Babe, I can't, Porx has returned and he is a tought match, I need to be in top condition." Arianna - "Oh baby, you are in tip top condition, trust me, you proved it last night... but I might need to make an on the spot check. The LP - (laughs) "Not now baby, I have to get to the gym. Get some sleep" (Shawn walks out of the bedroom, and makes his way into the contemporary kitchen. As he walks in he puts on the television, and makes his way to fridge and takes out eggs and milk) Television - "Good morning, wrestling fans, we are only days away from the TWW's first event..." (Shawn switches the television off...) The LP - "What is there to talk about? The TWW Championship is mine!" (Shawn mixes a glass of milk and three eggs, and drinks the glass) The LP - "I'm never going to get used to that crap" (the scene fades black and then brightens again, the scene is now outside the rundown, inner-city wrestling club that has a legendary reputation. Over the years the club has seen champions come and go, in the wrestling stakes it rivals like Shawn Michales's establishment, it is here where The LP learned the real way of beating your opponents, he could go to a state-of-the-art gym but then he would lose the anger, the intensity that any fighter needs. It's not only the technical ability a wrestler needs, its the mental determination and desire. In the words of the Rocky Balboa films, 'The Eye Of The Tiger'. The LP knows this, and has built his wrestling career around it...) (a public bus pulls up outside the wrestling club, and Shawn steps out, he walks off the bus and makes his way inside the club. Inside, is nothing other than a rundown building, the walls are lined with pictures of wrestling legends, true legends not today's entertainer, not today's overpaid men with huge egos, the men that true wrestling fans go to watch, the true greats of the sport, as Shawn makes his way through the club, past the young boys just starting out, past the men that never met the grade, Shawn suddenly stops walking. A man steps in front of Shawn and goes to hit him, Shawn instinctively grabs the man's arm and puts the man into a modified 'Crippler's Crossface'...) Man - "I give, I GIVE!" The LP - "Ah ha! You are growing weak in your old age!" (The man gets up) Man - "I taught you well" The LP - "Yes, you did, too good, like always the apprentice will defeat the master. Long time no see Arn." Arn - (laughs) "Too long, a lot has happened since we last since each other, but don't you ever discount The Enforcer, I maybe aging but I'm still dangerous but let's not dwell on the past, let's look to the future." The LP - "True, what you doing still running this place anyway, Mr. Andesson? I thought you made your money years ago!" Arn - "Oh I did! But this is where it all begins, you should know that Shawn, I made my money but I want to put something back into the sport, I want more kids to get into wrestling, too many are doing stupid crap like doing that Backyard Wrestling stuff. They should come in here, this is where you learn the skills that you needs. Hitting people over the head with barbed-wired base ball bats isn't going to get you anywhere in the sport. Come on in here and I'll teach you properly." The LP - (laughs) "Hey man, you don't need to tell me that! I was here in my younger days. I know what you are saying, I never wanted to be some kind of hardcore legend, I wanted to be a technician, a real wrestler. I haven't seem you around for a while, where have u been?" Arn - "I've been touring the country for a couple months, I've been scouting for young talent, I've brought in a couple rough diamonds. You see that kid over there... (points to a teenager sparring in the ring, he's roughly 15 years old, tall for his age) he's called Dougie Douglas, he has bags of potential, I seen playing football for his high school, he's tall but good on his feet like any good wrestler. I think he could go a long way." The LP - "And I suppose you are taking a percentage in his first year of earnings?" Arn - (laughs) "Since when did you get so cynical?" The LP - "My eyes are open to the cheap shots of the financial side of the wrestling world, I've learned about all the ways crooks like yourself operate." Arn - "Crooks? No, we're called agents now! (laughs) Anyway I've heard all about your successes in the RWA , think you can join the ranks of legends?" (Points to the row of pictures) The LP - "I don't know... success is one thing, being recognized and becoming a legend is another, only a certain type of man can reach heights that high, its strange - growing up, we were told that we had to work hard to get to the heights of men like them, but now all I want to do is be as a good of wrestler I can, taking your place among wrestlers is a daunting task. I notice when you say legends you point to your picture!" Arn - "I did pretty well in the ring if I say so myself! Anyway I know this is a busy week for you so I won't hold you up, until next time Shawn" (holds out his hand) The LP- "Yeah, look after yourself, later man" (the two men shake hands, and Shawn walks away, he goes over to the worn on exercise bike, he gets on it and starts to cycle at an incredible speed, he looks across the room at the pictures of the wrestling legends of yesteryear, a small bald man walks across the line of pictures with a picture fame in his hand, Shawn is curious about who the next legend to go up on the wall will be, the man puts up the picture by hammering a nail through the wall, the man steps back to reveal who the latest addition is, a huge smile beams out on Shawn's face, the camera zooms in on the new picture - it's a picture of Shawn in the COTC!!) (the picture fills the screen and the screen fades to black) |
