Woody Driver..on the road to perfection
Woody Driver
[Click! The camera feed picks up, as the picture becomes clear. It's a nice, beautiful, sunny morning out. The grass is wet with dew, a perfect morning to jump into your car, and head on over to the golf course. However, the camera is already at the golf course. Woody Driver is seen walking out of the Rush Creek GC Clubhouse! He is taking a sip of orange juice, or some early morning drink. He is decked out in a golf outfit, and looks thrilled. Suddenly, Prescott jumps into the picture. He is carrying Woody Driver's clubs 'round his shoulder, while shoving a hotdog down his throat. They walk along the nice gravel path, down to the practice putting greens. They have been freshly mowed at dawn, just an hour earlier. Prescott sets the heavy bag down, along side the practice greens. Woody Driver stops next to it, and takes a glance around. He then stretches, and asks for his putter. Prescott reaches in the bag, grabs out the expensive "Woody Enterprise" putter, and takes off the head cover. Meanwhile, Woody reaches into the lower portion of the bag, and grabs out three Titleist Golf Balls. He softly lets them fall to his feet, on the fringe of the green. He takes a few practice strokes, and then lines himself up, and aims for the nearest hole. He sinks the first two, and just lips out the third ball. He smiles, and murmurs something to himself. He looks up into the camera, and smiles. He begins to speak..]

Woody Driver: "TWW, Tidal Wave Wrestling, I would first and foremost like to say [He sticks two fingers in the air] two simple words, thank you."

[Woody puts his putter up against his leg, and somewhat leans on it, as he continues on speaking, never taking his eyes off the camera lense]

Woody Driver: "Thank you, for giving me the opportunity to find my younger, more agile, more athletic side once again. I almost forgot how fun it was to use golf clubs."

[The camera switches over to Prescott]

Prescott: "What do you mean, you almost forgot how to use golf clubs?"

[The camera zooms back a bit, so both men can be seen. Prescott carries a frown on his face, while Woody just smiles]

Woody Driver: "Sorry for the interruption, PRESCOTT! [Clears his throat] As I was saying, I almost forgot how to use golf clubs..[He pauses, and smiles, as the frustration drains out of Prescott] on people!"

Prescott: "Oh, I see."

Woody Driver: "Yes, now if you will, please shut your mouth, and let me do the talking. I think the people heard enough of you two days ago, or whenever it was. Once again, I am sorry that you had to listen to Prescott. I could have delivered that message with much greater fashion, but oh well."

[Woody takes his putting stance, and lines up the putt to a hole to his left. Woody is about to hit the first ball, when Prescott speaks out, stopping Woody from striking the ball]

Prescott: "Woody, there is a slight left to right break here, re-line the putt, you are going to miss it."

[Woody steps back, and bends down, examining the surface of the green, and the line for his putt. He gets back up, and says under his breath, "OK, Prescott, if you say so"]

Prescott: "Hah! See, I told you!"

Woody Driver: " We'll see what happens. Now, please, hush down for a bit, I'm going to see what happens with this putt."

[Woody sets up, and takes his practice strokes. Prescott yells out, "That's the right line, in the hole!" Woody just shakes his head. Woody hits the first ball, and the ball starts out to the left, just as Prescott said, but continues going left, curving away from the hole]

Woody Driver: [Snaps his finger] "Shoot! Prescott, I thought you said you had the right line. My line was perfect, here, I'll show you."

[Woody Driver lines up the putt once more, this time, aiming right of the hole. He takes his stroke, and sinks the putt. He smiles, and Prescott just laughs.]

Prescott: "Sorry about that, it's just practice."

Woody Driver: "Yes, but what happens when you do that in a special, important tournament? What happens if you screw up in the ring?"

[Prescott looks down at his feet, looking guilty. After a moment or two, he shrugs his shoulders]

Woody Driver: "Prescott, you are a great caddy, and I admire you very much. However, I am going to be taking my first instinct from now on, OK?"

[Prescott shakes his head yes, acknowledging Woody's proposal]

Woody Driver: "Thank you. Now I know all of your wrestling fans want to hear a bit more about last night, and about my upcoming match. So, for the next several minutes, I will put this putter down, and focus my mind on Wrestling, Tidal Wave Wrestling. I know that in previous years, Golf has interfered with my perfect record."

Prescott: "That's right, we're making sure that it's not going to happen here in the realm of the Tidal Wave!"

Woody Driver: "True, very true. Now, about last night, what an amazing night first of all. I mean, there were clubs flying every which way, and I looked better than every, dominating the Venom, Scott Lavigne. I did exactly what I said that I wood, and I proved the other wrestlers wrong. It wasn't too hard taking out Fuel, all I had to do was hit him on the head, the work of a child."

Prescott: "Yeah, you're win was impressive, and taking out Fuel was candy in the bag."

[Woody laughs, and is joined by Prescott. Woody looks around the course once more, the ranger is driving around in a golf cart, checking out the course.]

Woody Driver: "As you know, the new card has been released, and Woody Driver got himself a pretty sweet match here. I think this is very fitting, because my opponent is a self-proclaimed, "King", of Gimmick Matches. And, a Golf Club on a Pole match is just that, a Gimmick Match. Sadly enough for Smasher, is that this plays right down my alley, and I am the king of golf, not just of the ring. Now, Smasher, I've heard some fantastic things about you, and reviewing, and recalling some of my background knowledge about you, I can see their points. However, I can see my point, when I say this should be almost as easy as the last match. If this was just a normal match, then you would have a chance. But this is a Golf Club on a Pole Match, and I am not going to lose my precious golf club, I will find a way to win, quote me on that one."

Prescott: "Yeah, quote him on that one."

Woody Driver: "Smasher, I'm not sure if you noticed here, but all the people in this business seem to have a great deal of respect for me, as I do for them. However, I do not respect dispicable men such as Scott Lavigne, and Fuel. I showed that, in our match. You, however, still have that important ingredient while facing me, my respect. I suggest that you keep your bad mouthing me to a complete minimal, because one wrong phrase, one wrong word, can mean the difference in you earning yourself a loss, and you earning yourself a beating. Some may say I come off as being arrogant, and that is perfectly fine with me, because you have to have a little self confidence right? I can see the same attitude in you, in your last interview. You had a great deal of confidence, so pat yourself on the back for that one. Let's see if your confidence level changes this time, as you have to face me, Woody Driver. And any man knows after seeing my last match, if there is a golf club around, I will find it, and use it. This time, it's right above my head. All I have to do is climb a little pole, or have Prescott climb it, and beat you over the head with it. It's not that hard. But, we'll see what happens when we see the King of Golf, and the King of Gimmick matches collide on Friday Lightning. My perfect record is in jepordey, as is your perfect record. Granted, you have been here longer, but you will see that in short time, I will sky above your record, leaving you behind, in the dust. Good luck, I hope you come prepared, this should be a big match, just like it said in the Promo, Highly Anticipated."

Prescott: "Highly anticipated."
