The One and Only Snake Eyes
A Greenville Hospital

::Snake Eyes is lying down in the hospital bed. The back of his head, his ankle, and his ribs are all taped up heavily. Snake Eyes grimmaces as the doctor asks him a few questions::

Doctor: Good lord, what happened to you? You've been banged like a dead beat drum!

::Snake Eyes smiles::

Snake Eyes: I was wrestling.

Doctor: C'mon man. I always said we should leave it to the professionals, but does anyone listen? NO.

::Snake Eyes laughs a little::

Snake Eyes: Heh, I am a professional. I just took the bad end of a hit. I'll be fine. Say, when do you think I'll get out of here?

Doctor: You should be out by the end of the day.

::Snake Eyes thanks the doctor. He leaves the room shaking his head and muttering to himself. Snake Eyes, who has a remote in his hand pushes the play button::

KRIS: Wait a second, Edwards just went up and Russian leg sweeped Snake Eyes from the middle rope!

SIMON: He locks on the dead end ankle lock! My God, Edwards has snapped. Now what? He's going outside. He grabs a table and slides it into the ring.

AMANDA: Oh yeah, you know why he's doing this? Anger displacement. He sees the tables as a symbol of his failure, so now he is going to use that symbol to inflict pain on others.

KRIS: Wow, nice insight. Speaking of which, Edwards has the table all set up now.

SIMON: He puts Snake Eyes on the table and heads up top. Frog splash through the table.

AMANDA: Oh man, Snake Eyes is gonna need some help. What was a sweet victory just turned ugly thanks to James Edwards

::Just watching the replay Snake Eyes rubs his ribs painfully after that Frog Splash. But he shakes his head and stops. He rewinds and watches it again, and again, and again::

Snake Eyes: Man, that was a lot more painful than it looked. But I don't think James cares much anyway. If he did, I don't think he'd put me through the table in the first place.

::Snake Eyes rewinds it to the very beginning and watches the entirety of it again::

::The scene jumps back once more to the hotel room not too long ago. Snake Eyes' dad pulls out his gun and puts it to his head::

Snake Eyes: Dad NOOOO!!!

::The trigger is pulled, Snake Eyes' dad lies dead on the floor, but he lets out his last words::

Dad: It's your fault.

::He points his finger at Snake Eyes::

::The scene is back to the hospital room. Snake Eyes wakes up quickly. He's sweating, but no tears fall. The doctor reenters the room::

Doctor: Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. What's going on? What happened?

::Snake Eyes looks up at the doctor::

Snake Eyes: Nothing, there's nothing wrong. Just a dream, just a dream.

::The doctor shakes his head and leaves. He mutters something::

Doctor: Jeez, these wrestlers are always crazy!

::Snake Eyes begins to talk to himself::

Snake Eyes: He never told me it was my fault, did he? And he didn't die there. I think... what's wrong with me!?!?!

::Snake Eyes turns on the television and switches the channels. TWW hype up show on an unknown station::

And for the Cruiserweight title at Mind Games, it's Snake Eyes vs James Edwards!

::Snake Eyes lets out a loud groan::

Snake Eyes: Again? C'mon!!! I beat him fair and square. But that's obviously not good enough for Miranda. He doesn't like fair and square. In his league, you have to win DIRTY. But that's not the way I like it, I want to gain respect by winning the right way.

::There's a knock on the door. In walks a very pretty nurse::

Nurse: Time for your shots!

::Snake Eyes grumbles and gets up. She sticks the needle in his arm::

Snake Eyes: Ouch! Anyway, Mind Games is more than just a little ppv. It's a personal matter. James Edwards doesn't escape October 27th without suffering a loss. And that's not just a promise. Not just an exclamation. It's the truth.
