THE END

               Aaron and Samantha have been unhappily married for a long 
               time.  Samantha has been cheating on him.  Dan has known but 
               hasn't spoken of it until this night when he's finally made 
               a decision to kick her out. 

               INT. FAMILY -- NIGHT

               Aaron sits at a small desk in the family, the only light in 
               the room coming from the lamp in front of him.  He slowly 
               sips at a glass of wine while his eyes gaze blankly out the 
               window in front him.  His wife, Samantha, enters from the 
               hallway behind him, exhausted she collapses on the couch.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         He's asleep.

                                     AARON
                         He should have been in bed an hour 
                         ago.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         He wanted me to read him a story.

                                     AARON
                         Did you?

                                     SAMANTHA
                         Yeah.

               Aaron nods as he takes another sip of his wine.  A silence 
               falls upon them.

                                     SAMANTHA (CONT'D)
                         He's wants to know why we're not 
                         talking.

                                     AARON
                         What did you tell him?

                                     SAMANTHA
                         I didn't...I don't know the answer 
                         myself.

                                     AARON
                         You do.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         I do?

                                     AARON
                         No more secrets Sam.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         You don't control me, you know.

                                     AARON
                         Never said I did.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         You've tried though.

                                     AARON
                         You've made your own choices Sam.  
                         It's your choice to talk or not.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         You know about Dan?

                                     AARON
                         I've known.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         And you've never said a word?

                                     AARON
                         I had hoped you cared enough to tell 
                         me yourself.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         You're a shit, you know that?

                                     AARON
                         It's your guilt, not mine.  Don't 
                         you dare put it on me.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         I'm going to bed.

                                     AARON
                         Don't bother.  Your bags are in the 
                         car.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         You're kicking me out?

                                     AARON
                         You don't live here anymore.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         Fine.

               Samantha gets up from the couch and starts back down the 
               hallway.

                                     AARON
                         Where are you going?

                                     SAMANTHA
                         To grab Kyle.

                                     AARON
                         You're not taking my son.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         Last time I check he was my son too.

                                     AARON
                         You gave that up the minute you 
                         cheated.  Now get the hell out of my 
                         house.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         You can't do this.

                                     AARON
                         I just did.  I booked a motel for 
                         you down the street.  The divorce 
                         papers will be there in the morning.

                                     SAMANTHA
                         What the hell did I ever do to you!

                                     AARON
                         Besides cheating?

                                     SAMANTHA
                         ...Don't do this to me.

                                     AARON
                         I didn't.
