According to the arithmatic we have a very good chance of having a lutino male here. We have been over run with lutino girls. No boy lutinos. IF one of these babies is a lutino male, he will never leave this house without us. He will be a keeper.
We have only been trying to get a male lutino since 1992.

The sad part of raising birds is that, sometimes a baby dies. It might be something that you, or the parents did or did not do. Maybe it is a congenital thing. But it is a fact of life. Babies die and even sometimes an adult.
In the wild they call it natural selection. In captivity it is a sad event. But it is a fact of life. The other side of this coin is that in captivity there is much less "natural selection" .
Now for the other shoe to drop, baby number 4 died sometime in the night of 2 Feb.. And it makes no difference how or when it happens or even why. It still hurts, even if you know it is going to happen.
