Want. Take. Have.
"So Red, if you could have one thing right now, what would it be?"
Willow glanced over at her companion and smiled, a small chuckle escaping her lips. She glanced back down at the stake she was holding and twirled it in her hands, thinking. "Interesting question. If you would have asked me four years ago, I would have said to have a normal life. If you would have asked me two years ago, I would have said to have Buffy back. If you would have asked me last night, I would have said ice cream."
Faith laughed, watching Willow turn the stake in her hands. "So you don't want the Buffster back now?"
Willow sighed, looking up at the sky. Her and her best friend Faith were sitting on a tombstone, waiting for new vamps to rise. "It's been two years, Faith. She's not coming back. And I...I can't say that I want her back. It would be a lie."
Faith glanced over at Willow, shocked. "Really? Ever since I blew into this hellhole, you've been singing B's praises, wishing she were back. I'm rather...shocked."
Willow turned, glaring at Faith. "Now, Faith," she scolded, "I haven't thought about Buffy in almost two months, and you know it. While I still have a place in my heart for her...you are my best friend. If she came back...it would cause....problems."
"What, she can't handle me and you being friends?"
"Probably not," the red head replied ruefully. "And Angel's back from Hell, that would really give her a hard time. And..." Willow shrugged. "I don't know. I'm happy."
Faith smiled at the girl next to her. "You know, Red, you are my best friend. And I don't have friends."
"Sure ya do, Faithy. You got me, and Xander... Delia, and Angel. Even Giles."
Faith laughed at that. "Yea, I guess Giles likes me."
"Likes you? Of course he does! You infuriate him, keep him on his toes. He likes that, you know."
"Coulda fooled me," Faith grumbled.
Willow's sweet laughter filled the cemetery.
"So you never answered my question. What would you want if you could have anything?" Faith asked.
Willow looked at Faith and smiled, a small blush coming to her cheeks.
Faith smiled back. "A guy, huh? Someone in one of your classes at school? What's his name? Why didn't you tell me about him?" <Why can't it be me?>
<A guy?> Willow thought. <Not even close. It's you, Faith, I want you.> "To be loved," she said softly. "Touched...to be brought to the brink again and again...to feel real passion, like they do in the movies."
<She's so close...I could kiss her...it would take her a full minute to pull away...> Faith's voice was husky when she answered, "Passion, huh? When you get there....it's incredible...two bodies against each other, slick flesh gliding against flesh. Having fingers run through your hair....the nibbling...the biting. Perfect mixture of pleasure and pain. And then, when your body explodes into an orgasm....your muscles tense and your mind cries out..."
Willow inhaled sharply at Faith's words. It was getting harder and harder to spend time alone with her. Ever since two weeks before when Willow woke up from the most erotic dream she'd ever had, staring Faith. She'd never even really thought about women before, until that dream. "Faith..." There was a hunger....a need to her voice. She let the unspoken plea hang on the air.
"Red," Faith whispered, leaning towards her best friend a fraction of an inch. <Please let me kiss you.>
Angel smirked from his perch behind the tree. He'd been late in meeting the girls for patrol that night, having had to sit through listening to Willy rattle about all the new dirt in town. When he finally found them, he hid, listening to what Willow wanted in life.
He knew the two women wanted each other. Faith had wanted Willow from the get go, and had even told Angel about it one night. Willow was oblivious to the desire the brunette Slayer had for her; and didn't want Faith herself until about two weeks prior. It was then Angel noticed Willow would get more attentive when Faith showed up. He could always smell her arousal.
Arousal was thick in the air that night. It was going to happen. The two were finally going to kiss. Angel chuckled softly to himself, knowing the two belonged together.
He cocked his head, hearing wood splinter. "Damn it," he swore, angry that he'd have to break up his two best friends. He stepped out from behind the tree and softly cleared his throat.
<She's going to kiss me!> Willow thought happily, noticing Faith inch forward. Someone cleared their throat.
The two women jumped away from each other, looking around wildly. Faith's evil glare landed on Angel. "Damn it, Fang, what the hell do you want?"
He shrugged, managing to keep the amused grin off his face. "I'm sorry I'm late. Willy had some info he had to share."
Willow was glad it was dark. Her face was flaming with embarrassment. <Oh, goddess, I almost kissed Faith! Oh, dear, oh, dear, and Angel saw it!> "Umm...hey, Angel."
"Willow," Angel chuckled. "Faith. I think we are about to have a visitor."
"Damn," Faith said. Her Slayer instincts kicked in as she jumped off the tombstone. She rolled her neck, waiting for the vampire to rise.
Willow jumped down and went to Angel. "Hey, Wills, how are you tonight?" Angel asked conversationally.
"I'm...ok. I guess." She frowned, chewing on her bottom lip.
Angel smiled slightly. "You know what I think I miss most about being Angelus?"
Willow looked at him. "I don't know...killing people?"
"No. Spike."
Willow frowned. "Spike? Why Spike?"
Angel stared off into the distance. "I don't know....something about having a lover of the same sex. He knows exactly what I like. It's an incredible feeling."
Willow smiled at Angel, knowing that in his own way, he had let her know that wanting Faith was ok. "Thanks, Angel." She leaned up and kissed his cheek.
"Sure, Wills. Anytime." He grinned at her.
The two turned back to Faith, who was currently straddling the newly risen vampire, punching him over and over. "And *that's* for ruining a perfectly good moment, you fucking demon!" She slammed her stake into his heart. He exploded and she dropped to her knees. She sat there for a moment and tried to catch her breath.
When she felt a hand fall on her shoulder, she turned her head, ready to strike. She put the stake down when she realized it was Willow. "Red."
Willow smiled at her. "Come on, Faith, we got the baddie. Let's go back to my place....you can stay the night."
Faith's face lit up at the hint of promise in Willow's big green eyes. "Yea, ok," she smiled. "I could do that."
