Willow Rosenberg sighed frustratingly, throwing her exam across the dorm room. "Damn it!" she cried.

Buffy Summers glanced at her roommate and best friend. "Wills?" She leaned over and picked up the test and gasped. The letter 'C' was at the top of the paper in big red angry marks. There was a small note beside the grade: 'Miss Rosenberg. I am disappointed in you. You are my best student, and this was the easiest test this year. How could you make a C? I certainly hope you do better next time. -Mrs. Johnson' She glanced up at an angry witch. "You made a 'C'?"

"Yea, I know," Willow grumbled, sitting on the bed angrily. "I never make C's. But I swear, this has been the most horrible week. First, I sit around and wait for an hour and a half for Michael to show up so I can tutor him, and find out he left a message on the machine saying he couldn't make it. Mrs. Johnson throws this pop quiz that I was so not ready for, and I make a bloody 'C'!! And goddess, Buffy, I miss Spike." She looked down, tears spilling on her cheeks. "I miss him so much. He's been gone for five days!! I mean, I realize that Angel needs help and can appreciate that, but does he have to keep him for five days!? Spike hasn't even called, I bet he's all shagging his sire for old times' sake."

Buffy moved to the bed to wrap her arms around Willow. "Don't say that. You know Spike loves you. He would never cheat on you, especially with Angel. I mean, can we say eww much?"

"Well, when I called last night to talk to him, Cordelia said they were out, gallivanting around LA, just having a grand old time. He didn't even call me back. I don't think he loves me anymore."

"Now you are just overreacting. He loves you so much, Will. I can see it in those damn baby blues he has. He looks at you and gets this stupid look on his face, you know, the one I used to get when Angel was around, or the one *you* used to get around Xander. Hell, it's the one I get around Riley or you get around Spike. He *loves* you." Buffy stroked her hair lovingly, trying to soothe the redhead.

"I. . .I gotta go," she said. "I need to get some air or something."

Buffy nodded, watching sadly as her best friend left the dorm. "I hope your day gets better, Wills," she said softly.

Willow stepped out into the sun and looked up, closing her eyes. She smiled briefly as the sun warmed her face. She didn't spend enough time outside during the day, opting to be more of a night person because of her relationship with the vampire of the group. "I will look at the bright side of everything. Spike is shagging Angel. But hey, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I mean, they used to have a relationship, and this would be good for them. Spike needs his Sire in his life. I know he can love me *and* love Angel too." She frowned, chewing her bottom lip. "I got a 'C' on my test. But that's ok, cause she drops a grade, and all the rest of my tests will be 'A's, so I haven't hurt my GPA."

She started to walk towards the snack stand, where she decided to get a large coke to drink. She felt the need for a little caffeine. "Michael didn't show up, but I got to finish that letter to my parents that I've been putting off. . ." She smiled, glad she was able to find the good points about her week. She continued to talk to herself, discussing all the bad things that had happened that week, justifying each one with the positive aspect.

When she reached the snack counter, she was in a great mood. "One large coke, please!" she said happily. The guy smiled at her, filled a cup with ice and coke, then took her money. She walked away, sipping on her drink, content with the day. "This will be the best day. Spike comes home tonight. . .it's Friday, so he will make love to me all night long. . ." She giggled softly, looking forward to it. She loved the feeling of his cold body underneath her, or on top of her.

"Hey, Wills!" she heard Xander cry. "Watch out!"

Willow spun around in time to see a Frisbee that he, Graham, and Riley were throwing back and forth heading for her. Xander jumped up and caught it before the bright red disk hit her. *Unfortunately*, Xander slammed into her and knocked her down.

Coke went *everywhere*, soaking the front of the brand new hunter green silk shirt that Spike bought her on a whim a few weeks before. "XANDER HARRIS!" she screamed, her eyes blazing with anger. She untangled her body from his, pushing him away. "Spike gave me this shirt!" she yelled at her best friend, tears streaming down her face. "And you ruined it!"

Xander frowned. "Wills, I'm sorry. . .I can get you another one. . ."

"No, Xander! You don't *get* it! The shirt was special cause Spike doesn't love me anymore!" she sobbed.

Xander blinked. "What? What do you mean?"

"Forget it! Just leave me alone!" She yanked her arm out of his grasp and stormed off.

Xander glanced at Riley and Graham. "Come on, let's go talk to Buffy. Something's wrong with Willow."

The three men went the other way.

Willow walked all over Sunnydale, trying to let her shirt dry, knowing it was ruined. She angrily wiped her tears away, trying to find the good in her shirt being ruined, but she couldn't think of a thing.

Her cell phone rang. With a sigh, she pulled it out of her backpack and answered it. "Yea?" she barked.

"Pet!"

"Spike!! When the hell are you coming home?"

"Pet. . .there's a slight. . ." Static filled the line. ". . .not going to be able. . ." Static. ". . .come home till next. . ." Static. "Bloody phone! Pet, can you hear me!?"

"Spike! I can hear you!" She moved around till she found the clearest spot. "I can hear you now!"

"Pet, I'm not going to be able to come home tonight."

"WHAT?" she shrieked.

"Demon hasn't been killed yet, Pet. I promised the Poof I'd stay until he was gone."

"You are fucking him, aren't you?" Willow said angrily, tears streaming down her face.

"What? Red, what the bloody hell are you talking about?"

"You are fucking him. That's why you are staying."

"Red, we talked about this. You said you didn't care if my Sire and me shagged. It was a part of our relationship or some crap like that."

Willow sat down heavily on the ground, feeling like all the wind had been knocked out of her. "So that's why you are staying," she whispered.

"No, Red, it's not. Sure, he's a bloody good lay, but I love you. I'd rather be in *your* arms, not his. But I promised him I'd stay until the bloody demon was dead. He's not dead yet."

"Whatever," she whispered. "I gotta go. Buffy needs me."

"Pet, you aren't at the dorm. I just called there."

"Goodbye, Spike." She pulled the phone away from her ear and hit 'end'.

"Bastard demon." She covered her face and began to cry.
