On Hope's 18th birthday, they were about to make love when Doug walked in and had a heart attack. Later that year, after threats on Bo's life, she married Larry Welch(this marriage didn't last long). Bo and Hope made love for the first time at the Oak Alley plantation house.
They joined friends in the ISA to track down the Dragon. As a reward, they were given an extravigent wedding in England by a grateful royal family. They were officially married on May 23, 1985, at St. Mary's Church in the Cotswolds, England. It was definately the most moving and glamorous wedding Days has ever seen. Bo serenaded Hope with the song 'Love Between Us". Hope's dress was a Paris original.
Bo recited this poem at their wedding: "True love is the gift that God hath given to man alone beneath the heavens. The silver link, the silver tie, which heart to heart, and mind to mind, in body and in soul, can bind."
Bo discovered that Victor was his father, and the stress of this caused Hope to miscarry their first child. In 1987, their son Shawn-Douglas was born. They bought a boat, the Fancy Face(which he called her because she wore a lot of makeup to impress him), and sailed around the world. The boat was their home until recently when the boat was destroyed in a fire, and Bo and Hope were split up. Hope has lived at Gran's since then, even though Bo bought the Fancy Face 2.
Soon after they returned in 1990, Hope was presumed dead in an explosion during the Cruise of Deception. For four years, Hope was brainwashed to be Gina, and worked for Stefano DiMera. She was found at Maison Blanche in '94, with amnesia. While she was gone, Bo had married Billie, but that marriage ended when Hope regained her memory. Hope was thought to be dead in an avalanche, but she was really being held captive by Jude Sinclair. Bo eventually rescued her. Hope became a model, and Kate hired Franco, a model as well, to break Bo and Hope up. J.L. King managed to make Bo and Billie marry in Rome, with Hope as a witness. Billie became pregnant, and then lost the baby in the bayou, where Hope and Bo were searching for clues to the missing years of her past. Billie lie about the baby's death, and blamed Hope for it. The truth eventually came out, and Bo and Hope were reunited.
Unfortunately, Stefano decided that he needed Gina back, and transformed Hope for the second time. Bo continues to fight for Hope and their love. Most recently, the real Princess Gina impersoned Hope in Salem until her death, while Hope was in France, pregnant and held prisoner by Kurt. Bo rescued her from the turret, and she is back at home in Salem where she belongs. There was a while when Hope thought that Stefano or John was the father of her baby. And then because of Stefano's trickery, they took home another woman's baby; a baby with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome whom they named John Thomas. They only recently discovered the truth: that JT is not theirs, and that Isaac is their child. They have Zac home now, and are married again. But all is still not well; Hope has been lost at sea, and is trapped with the "victims" of the Salem Stalker on a remote Caribbean island. But Hope knows Bo won't give up until he finds her.
