- Three to four months in advance would be the minimum time to place an order.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO HAVE WHEN PLACING ORDER
- Know type of cake you are looking for.
- Know approximate number of guests that will be invited, your wedding colors and theme before you order your cake.
- Furnish samples of the flowers and/or fabric so your cake decorator can match the flowers and colors used to decorate the cake.

DELIVERY
- Confirm date, time and address with decorator well in advance of the big day.
- Give written directions for delivery two weeks in advance.
FRESH FLOWERS
- Order appropriate cake topper size for flowers and type of cake ordered.
- Know how many flowers you need to order.
- Order the flowers for the cake as well as the topper if needed.
- Communication between the bride, florist and cake decorator is of utmost importance to avoid disappointment on the big day.

WEDDING CAKE TOPPER SIZE (Ornaments)
- Order cake topper one month in advance or earlier.  Don’t forget to order the wedding cake serving set also.
- Keep size and weight of the cake topper in mind for the top of the cake.  A light cake should not have a heavy ornament on the top.
- Types of wedding cake toppers include ceramic, porcelain, plastic, and fresh flowers.

CAKE TABLE
- Be sure to make arrangements for the cake table to be decorated to compliment the wedding cake.  Tulle, ribbon, ivy, rose petals, fern, fresh flowers, etc. can be selected to decorate the table.
