Wade Patrick WhiteFire was born to Mark and Susan WhiteFire of Seattle, WA in Earth Realm. He had the free and happy life of the general Washitonian: weekends at the park with the family, trips to the zoo, the aquarium, Seattle Science Center. Summer trips to Mt. St. Helens and the like. His life was a grand one until he was 15 and his parents were killed in one of the regular traffic accidents on southbound I-5. After that, he was sent to live with his grandparents in Oakharbor, WA about 3 hours north of all he had ever known.
There he finished school and had his first girlfriend at 16 years of age. Amanda Grey, the head cheerleader and prom queen. He got little more than his first kiss before she left him after a month of dating for the captain of the football team, and his best friend Buck Minor. Scalded inside, he didn't look for women to be more than a friend until just recently.
After graduation at age 18, he moved back to Seattle and attended the University of Washington to get his major in construction and drafting. During the summer after his freshman year, he went of safari in Africa and came home with malaria. Once over the malaria, his immune system was weak and he caught every virus that came through campus. Because of this, he was generally pale in complexion and picked up the nickname Casper as in the Friendly Ghost, it stuck and he had the cartoon character tattooed on the inside of his left bicep.
Over the three years after his graduation from UW, he worked in various construction jobs making what money he could, but never making enough to get out of the studio apartment he had. One night after work, he went home, showered and shaved, changed and was going out to shoot some pool at the local bar down the street. He didn't make it. Upon locking up his apartment, he was clubbed upside his head and awoke several hours later in the middle of the woods near the Enchanted Forest clearing. After getting the shock of his life, he settled in building furniture for rent in the clearing and trying to make friends.
