The pair was expected to have about 40 friends and family members in the audience at the free skate.
“I located my closest friends, my parents, my girlfriend, and Tiffany’s boyfriend,” he said. “It was great to be able to pick them out one-by-one.”
After Short Program in Washington
Dulebohn stepped out of their side-by-side triple toe resulting in scores ranging from 4.5 to 5.3 for required elements and 4.8 and 5.5 for presentation.
“We felt a little nervous,” Scott said. “It was a different kind of pressure coming in as national champion.”
Dulebohn said throughout this season they have become used to the anonymous judging system in use at Worlds, but Scott said it would be nice to be able to get feedback from the judges. With friends and family in attendance Monday night, Scott said maybe a fan-based judging system should be considered.
“We like to have the crowd support,” she said. “We need to have an audience vote like they have on American Idol.”

"Not quite the program we had hope to put out," Scott said. "Our long was a little below par. It wasn't all bad. We did a nice set of double Axels, a throw triple Sal (Salchow), a good triple twist."
"It was not as good as two nights ago," Dulebohn said. "It was a little shaky for us compared to our short program."
