"Miko," Nagie giggled as she was splashed with some dragon oil, "quit squirming so much." I can't help it, my rider. The way you're oiling me tickles You're always ticklish, Miko! The green seemed to give a dragonic laugh as she side stepped her rider for the twelve time. The blue fire lizard, Coten, scolded the green as she did so. Oh, don't be such a wherry-hen, the green joked. Coten hissed at her and started to scrub double hard.
It had been at least two hours since Nagie had set to work on washing and oiling Nomikoth. Unfortunately for Nagie and Coten, Nomikoth had not been able to stand still. Whether she would suddenly roll to get an itch when they were near finished washing her or she'd rub up agenst a rock when they wanted to oil her the green seemed to unwittingly cause trouble. Now the tiny green was being giddy and so being was extra ticklish. Oh, look it's Fargrinth! Hello! the green trumpeted at the large sized brown who was quite a ways away. The brown bellowed back and Nomikoth shook her head happily. She seemed to turn sheepish as Nagie fixed her with a reprimanding look. For a moment the green thought it was the fact that she'd talked to the brown who's rider annoyed Nagie to no end for some reason. Yet as Nagie cleared her throat, the green looked down at her chest and wings. Once they had been clean and nearly fully oiled but now they were once again in need of cleaning and a new sheen of oil. "Come with me, my frisky green," Nagie told Nomikoth in a mock testy voice, her back already turned on her. For a time Nomikoth thought she was truly in trouble with her rider. In actuality, Nagie had turned her back to keep herself from laughing at the expression her dragon had made.
"You're a lot harder to wash and oil than you think, Dear Heart," Nagie replied. The raven-haired girl then looked at her boots and sighed in defeat. She was too tired to remove them, but she knew she'd have to sooner or later. She bent over slightly and started to pull at her knee high dragonrider boots. It took her a few times because of the oil that she'd spilled on them while she had been oiling Nomikoth, but in the end the 17 turn old's boots were strewn on the floor. Nagie looked up at the ceiling of her weyr in her tiredness. I'm a bit hungery, Nagie, yawned the green. Hungery? You just ate earlier today and you just… But I'm too tired to get up again. After my nap I'll eat interrupted the green to her rider's relief. Nagie lifted her head to see the last to eyelids shut over her bonded's beautiful eyes. The green gave a sigh of blissfulness and Nagie soon felt Nomikoth's mind sleeping peacefully. "Sounds like a good idea to me," Nagie agreed with her dragon. She slowly turned her head towards her cot and sighed. It was too far away and she was so tired. Nagie closed her eyes to think of what to do or perhaps get the motivation to move towards her bed. Sadly she didn't open her eyes again; she'd fallen fast asleep in the chair. True she'd regret it when she woke up, but at that moment she was happy where she slept.
