“Hey, shut that ‘lizard up, Kao!” a voice snarled as Roki talked with her sister, Tokin, and their new found friend Kaoten. The two sisters had sent the dragonrider B’nir, white Pikceth to give their brother, Talcin, whom was on his way to Turasake Hold the message that they’d been searched. It had taken about a sevenday to find him finally at the Hold itself. B’nir arrived back with another candidate, Kaoten. The young man of 19 turns had been their brother’s friend in the short time he’d arrived and then been searched himself.
Roki chuckled as the “lizard,” Kaoten’s blue fire lizard Chaos, chirped wildly as he flew circles around the trio’s heads. What amused her more was her fifteen turn old sister glaring at the speaker and defending the man four turns her senior. “You know he’d never be able to do that,” Tokin sighed dryly, “Not even a gold can truly control Chaos.” Roki shook her head as the blue chirped happily at Tokin’s “approval” of him and soon started to hum a jaunty tune to which he sent off random pictures. Eggs? Roki though at the pictures he sent out, it was then that the whispers of hatching were graced upon their ears. “Looks like the wait’s over!” Roki smiled brightly at the announcement. The 20 turn old smirked as her sister and Kaoten nodded in unison, they then preceded to blush slightly together. This would be interesting indeed. She’d noticed almost from the beginning that the two had practically copied each other’s movements without knowing it until it happened.
Roki found herself behind everyone on the hatching grounds and couldn’t see a thing at her height. Sure at times she was able to see what was happening between the throngs of candidates who’d been lucky enough to stand on Vellan Crean’s sands. It was coming down to the last few eggs and she, her sister, and their friend had not impressed yet. This worried the self-defense teacher.
It was when there were only five eggs left that everything seemed to come together. Roki watched as her sister and Kaoten raced for the blue and lilac colored dragons shouting their names out at the same moment… and then blushed. Roki had little time to smirk at the duo when she felt a tug on her mind. Roki blinked and head towards the last three hatchlings arriving as the other two had impressed. That’s more like it, my name is Eyotath. I’m glad you finally came, Roki. The dark skinned woman from Kutou Hold looked down to find a very small brown, the size of a green to be exact. He looked up at her lovingly and Roki smiled back. “Yes, I’m finally here, Eyotath,” Roki chuckled as she could almost see a grin on the hatchlings features. We shall work well together I think Roki… do you think I might teach young ones like you used to some day? That might be something… yes I think it’s a possibility, sugar. We’ll work at it if nothing more. The dragon and rider smiled once more at one another and left the sands. Life would be interesting to say the least. Now they would have to work to achieve their dreams!
