Alessandro Del Piero is once
again the main man in this morning's papers. The question he still can't
get away from? How come he isn't scoring with any regularity. "I'm still
not at my best," he tells Tuttosport. "Scoring might help to give me a
boost, but it's not true that I'm going through a confidence crisis and
not taking my chances. I'm just playing differently."
"We are flying at the moment,"
the Juventus number 10 affirms in the Gazzetta dello Sport. "If I hit my
best form too, then we'll stand an even better chance of achieving our
ambitions." In the same paper, Del Piero admits, "I do need a goal; I've
been chasing one for two or three months now. But it feels good to have
the support of the club. I'll pay them back soon."
As far as Sunday's encounter
against Lecce at the Delle Alpi goes, Tuttosport predicts an "ultra-defensive"
line-up, with Paolo Montero likely to make a comeback. The view is less
rosy from the other side: Lecce manager Cavasin is said to having a recurring
nightmare. According to Tuttosport, they go by the name of Zinedine Zidane.
"He is an outstanding player. We will be making special provisions for
him," Cavasin promises.
