Juventus forwards Alessandro
Del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi have dismissed suggestions that they have
fallen out and hinted at legal action against newspapers which continue
to suggest a rift. Italian media has run a number of stories in recent
days suggesting the two do not get on and ran film footage of Del Piero
failing to celebrate Inzaghi's hattrick at Venezia as suppossed proof of
the split.
But Del Piero said: "To discuss
Juve's problems in attack is all very well, but not in this way. At first
we were sorry to hear all these rumours on our account, then we got angry.
Criticism is fine, but with these accusations the line has been crossed".
The pair said if the rumours continued they may consider "other action"
to put a stop to the talk which they believe could damage team morale.
