Despite yesterday's defeat
against Verona that left Juventus with a narrow 2 point lead, the players
of Turin's team are still convinced that they have an advantage over Lazio
that shouldn't be overlooked.
Alessandro Del Piero, probably
the most famous Juventus player, commented that his team is still very
determined: "We still are on the top spot, we still have two points over
Lazio - it might not be much but maybe it'll be enough. We must convince
ourselves that we can make it because that's true. There's not much to
say about yesterday's game, we lacked determination and they didn't. We
deserved to lose and they to win, that's happened."
Gianluca Zambrotta, who was
among the best players in Italy's game versus Portugal last week, couldn't
help matters much against Verona, but just like Del Piero is ready for
the final battle and denies that the team is too tired to keep on going:
"Even if we lost, Lazio is still two points behind and I think it's always
tougher for those who are behind you to keep up with you. I don't think
that the team is tired, we might have had a few problems in the last two
games, but still that doesn't mean that we don't have enough energy to
finish this championship on top."
