Alessandro Del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi are the players making the news this morning. Interviewed at the Italy camp, the former reveals that he would like to put the 'lost' Scudetto behind him as quickly as possible, while the latter confirms that he will be staying on at Juventus. "I tried to get the defeat to Perugia out of my system on holiday," Del Piero tells the Gazzetta dello Sport, "but without much success. Victory with Italy would help me get over it, though..."

Tuttosport has more on the same theme from Del Piero. "It's been a tough week, and I still feel distressed by what happened. Maybe all the controversy and back-stabbing that went on took its toll on us after all. We've got to put it all behind us now - and hopefully we'll be able to take out our anger on the pitch for Italy."

Inzaghi, meanwhile, makes it official in the Corriere dello Sport, where he announces that he will remain at Juve. "I'm staying put," he tells the paper, which still requires convincing, however. The Rome-based daily speculates that the number 9 has his reservations: "I've got a few years left on my contract and I believe I will stay," Inzaghi assures his fans.
