Today's Italian papers focus
on the various Bianconeri involved in Euro 2000.
The Gazzetta dello Sport
picks up on the black and white of Italy, namely Filippo Inzaghi and Alessandro
Del Piero. Indeed Juve’s SuperPippo is not looking beyond qualification
to the next stage and is fully focused on tonight’s Belgium match: "Our
defeat (3-1) in the recent friendly against them is a thing of the past."
The Milan football pink also catches up with a disgruntled Del Piero: "Twenty
minutes is too little; I don't want to cause a rumpus but I am not used
to sitting in the bench. We'll see; I don't want to stoke the fire."
Inzaghi hits out in the Corriere
dello Sport: "I will let nobody offend me and all I want is to play well
and not let down my friend Christian Vieri. We are up against a tough team
in Belgium and if it hadn't been for a goalkeeping howler the scoreline
against Sweden would have been even more emphatic. But we are ready to
conquer Brussels."
Tuttosport focuses on the
Delle Alpi stadium, home to Juve and city rivals Torino: "Delle Alpi open
to bidding" is the headline. According to the paper, the City of Turin
(owners of the ground) want to establish new lessees and everything should
be resolved within the first 10 days of August.
