Alessandro Del Piero seems
to be back to his old self and is ready to start all over again after last
year's double disappointment both with Juve and with Italy.
And now that coach Trapattoni
has basically announced his will to let him and Totti play together, Alex's
performances seem to have improved with his spirits.
"I didn't change role. Totti
did. Trapattoni has solved the dilemma very easily. Totti is an advanced
midfielder, I'm a striker and we can play together."
Del Piero now can also claim
to have been the first to score a goal in the Trapattoni management, albeit
in a friendly game against Italy's U-18 last night.
Still, Juve's star striker
isn't sure he'll be playing form the first minute in Saturday's World Cup
qualifier against Hungary in Budapest.
"I still don't know if I'll
play. There's two days left and the coach will no doubt have to ponder
about this."
