Rest day for Juve

The Bianconeri will resume training on Monday afternoon at 5pm at the Comunale. The injuries to Pippo Inzaghi and Edwin Van Der Sar will be further examined but both players are expected to be passed fit for Wednesday's Champions League opener. Two members of Carlo Ancelotti's squad who won't be making it are Gianluca Zambrotta and Marco Zanchi (both on Olympic duty) as well as Juan Esnaider (injured). and the suspended Paolo Montero (three matches), Michele Paramatti and Antonio Conte (one match each).

The Bianconeri have been making the most of the time off. Juve skipper Antonio Conte has been asked to join the judging panel of the annual Miss Italia contest. On Saturday, Zinedine Zidane and Alex Del Piero were both at the Formula 1 qualifiers at Monza, a Grand Prix that was subsequently won by Michael Schumacher.

Finally, the dates and times for the Bianconeri's last 16 Coppa Italia tie against Brescia have been confirmed. The first leg will take place in Brescia on 16 September (6pm; live on Telepiù Bianco), with the return a week later (8.45pm;live on Rai).
