Del Piero - Recoba swap ??

It seems that Juve are making up their mind about keeping Alessandro Del Piero.

There's an insistent rumor in Milan that the Italian vice-champions are reday to swap their famous yet quite unlucky player with Inter Milan's Uruguayan player Alvaro Recoba.

As a matter of fact the South American striker is still waiting to sign a new contract with Inter Milan and despite the fact that he's one of Moratti's favourites he knows he'll never have a fixed spot in the team's line-up.

In the meantime Juve seem to have gotten tired of paying 5 million dollars a year for a striker whose problems scoring have lasted well over one season. However this might not be the only bad news for Del Piero as it seems that Giovanni Trapattoni has abandoned him too.

Italy's new coach who was behind Del Piero in these last few months but can no longer afford to jeopardize Italy's path in the World Cup qualifiers and is ready to call up Simone Inzaghi insted of Alex for the next two games. This means that the two Inzaghi brothers might be paired up as Italy's striking duo.
