The big win over Napoli has
focussed the spotlight on the giant Yugoslav Darko Kovacevic with manager
Carlo Ancelotti clearly impressed: "Ancelotti makes up his mind: Darko
to play more" is the emphatic headline in the Gazzetta dello Sport. The
Milan football pink points out that not only is Darko's goal-to-game ratio
very impressive indeed but he is also not one to moan when he is left out.
Tuttosport really beats the
Bianconero drum: "Juve in Scudetto form" is the menacing headline as they
quote a satisfied Carlo Ancelotti: "This was the real Juve capable of winning
everything." Alex Del Piero has certainly quietened the critics and he
now wants to repeat the dose for the national team.
The Corriere dello Sport
takes a literary angle: "Godot has arrived" is the headline, of course
referring to Juve's number 10. The Conegliano-born forward revealed that
his home phone hasn't stopped ringing since his spectacular goal. As from
tomorrow, the national team's cause will take precedence, and how wonderful
it would be if Alex could repeat his Juve magic for the Azzurri.
