The Bianconeri were hard
at it again on Monday following their 2-0 victory over Bari in the second
game of the Serie A season. Only those who hadn't taken part in the previous
day's action stepped out onto a distinctly sodden training pitch - and
it was a relatively light session at that. The rest of the squad worked
in the gym.
There was some good news
from the club's medical room, however. All those who had been suffering
from the flu - namely Alessandro Del Piero, Pippo Inzaghi, Mark Iuliano
and Alessio Tacchinardi - have now made a full recovery and will be able
to travel to La Coruna.
For the ranks of the injured,
including Paolo Montero, Gianluca Zambrotta, Michele Paramatti and Fabian
O'Neill, however, there is no possibility of travelling with the rest of
the squad. Neither will Zinedine Zidane make the journey: he has been ruled
out of contention with a one-match suspension.
Despite the severe weather
conditions over the last few days, the Bianconeri are expected to depart
for Spain at 10.30am on Tuesday as originally planned. A final training
session will take place in the late afternoon at the Spanish club's stadium.
