Today's papers continue their
assessment of the Bianconeri's current season.
The Gazzettta dello Sport
headlines with, "Juve, now for the Scudetto", and quotes the club's troubled
star, Alessandro Del Piero. "We have paid for our errors, now we're ready
for the fight back." The paper also highlights the club president, Antonio
Chiusano's comments on the fans protests. "Shame on those who contest us."
The Corriere dello Sport
highlights the change in tactics that are likely to hit the squad now that
the Bianconeri's cup hopes are over for the season. Carlo Ancelotti is
unlikely to give more than 16-17 players a chance, with squad rotation
kept to a minimum. Juan Esnaider and Daniel Fonseca are likely to be on
their way while things could become complicated for Marco Zanchi, Michele
Paramatti, Fabian O'Neill and Darko Kovacevic. Del Piero places the responsibility
for European failure firmly on Juve's shoulders, "It is our own fault that
we're reduced to this. We only have the Scudetto left, so we should accept
everything in silence." Meanwhile, renewed hope is brought by the return
of Paolo Montero as well as Gianluca Zambrotta.
Tuttosport comes up with
some more imaginative transfer stories, under the headlines: "Milan on
Del Piero and Cassano. Juve on Recoba." And if that wasn't enough Luca
Marchegiani is also said to be on his way north to join Turin.
