Injury woe for Del Piero

Alessandro Del Piero underwent
a scan and the club doctor Riccardo Agricola revealed that ”the player
suffered a muscle injury to his right thigh and will be out for a 30 to
40 day period”.
The current injury situation
is as follows:
Mark Iuliano is still nursing
a hip injury and is undergoing rehabilitation.
Fabian O’Neill has a right
thigh injury and is receiving treatment.
Alessandro Birindelli also
has a muscle strain and is undergoing physiotherapy.
Finally, Gianluca Pessotto
has a hamstring problem.
All the other players resumed
training under the watchful eye of manager Carlo Ancelotti and will take
part in the Turin derby on Tuesday with the proceeds going to the flood
victims of the Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta regions. The match has been organized
by the two clubs, Juventus and Torino, and sports daily Tuttosport. Kick-off
is at 7pm CET at the Delle Alpi.
